Acrylic painting I did of a plant cell under a microscope, though it also works as an abstract piece.

I love creating work that starts from a point in nature and develops into something more abstract, something that can be interpreted in many different ways. It’s interesting to hear what people see, what connection to their own life they bring when viewing a work.

On the myth of trees

Black and white, graphite (pencil) drawing. This is the fourth rendering of this "girl-in-the-rose" image (it's a personal favorite).

Acrylic on canvas. 50cm x 70cm. This started as a purely experimental abstract piece, but evolved to include both abstract and surreal (i.e. representational) elements.
