"Moon Lady" Acrylic on canvas 61 x 61 cm. Intuitive work. This painting wasn't planned. My art evolves as I work. I am obsessed with colour and composition. All shapes and colours are edited as I work.
With our adorable Shiba, Kaiju, as my inspiration, I've started working on initial sketches.
The next step is to determine the perfect color palette before beginning the actual painting.
Though I typically prefer to work with oil paints, it's been a considerable time since I last indulged in painting.
So, I've decided to use acrylics this time around. I'm thrilled to start this new painting!
This was a gift for a special colleague who had already worked at my school for more than 20 years. I painted her with gouache and especially her blond hair gave me a headache. I‘ve never worked with this paint before. In the background I used special paper, charcoal and acrylic markers. Inside the card is a poem about her.
