The leaf painted by using Watercolors & Splash Technique. It creates nice combo of colors to a Leaf. Dew Drops on top make em realistic. Dew drops show purest form of nature.

This week hasn't been great. My anxiety was pretty high for most of it, and it was honestly for no reason. My brain tends to be very chaotic, I suppose, and I have trouble controlling my thoughts sometimes. This was a random doodle I did last night at 10 p.m. I've decided I'm going to add color to it, which will either look good or make everyone's eyes hurt even more..at least I have a picture of this version.

He wants us to fully enter into the Divine Will because he loves us so much and wants to be powerfully present in our lives in order to heal and strengthen us. He loves us and in this mystery we meditate upon his enrapturing and beautiful Word, which is Himself. He gives us His word because he wants to give us Himself. God is too awesome! ^_^ Fiat

MAKING A MOUNTAIN OUT OF A POND

I started a new job, and it's leaving no time for daily art :( . I've decided to set aside a couple hours each week, though. Last night I did a drop in to an online portrait class, and I really liked the result of one of the warmups. Maybe all efforts should be 10 min!

Fairly recently I was "commissioned" to paint a picture of my cousin and grandmother. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, but painting this was a bit of a challenge. There were definitely moments where I stopped painting and completely hated how it looked/became frustrated with myself, and I wouldn't work on it for days. I felt an odd pressure attached to making this... or maybe I'm crazy. 16x20, acrylic.

Finally, Luigi gets to be the star of his own artwork, celebrating his accomplishments (as such). This was a commission that I did for someone who wanted to give a gift to a massive Luigi fan. The client wanted a large figure of Luigi in the center, and other instances of Luigi around the page doing various Luigi-things. Luigi's green missile from Super Smash Bros and his "death stare" from Mario Kart 8 were very specific requests. I also added an illustration of the Sprite from Super Mario Bros. 2, since that is when Luigi first begins to have his own unique character traits. And of course, you've got to have Luigi's Mansion as well. The client didn't know much about Luigi, but that was no problem because I am a huge Nintendo fan and knew exactly what to do. In fact, I would have done even more! It wasn't easy to put it all together but, I think it came out ok. I feel like it finally worked in the very end when, in a last minute move, I totally changed the eyes of the middle Luigi to have that kind of cross-eyed look that you often see in Nintendo's illustrations. That makes the face the focal point and is completely in character, if you ask me. I can probably do commissions for you too, so get in touch if you're interested! Ok made the 2nd Mystery of the Mysteries of Light: The Wedding of Cana. Also an important revelation and the prime miracle that started Jesus' "hour". I definately spent much more time on the Baptism because of it's important icon significance but I found some good lil inspiration for this too, a bit more simple but nice. ^_^ Oh and if you don't know the story: John Chapter 2 1 And the third day, there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee: and the mother of Jesus was there. 2 And Jesus also was invited, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3 And the wine failing, the mother of Jesus saith to him: They have no wine. 4 And Jesus saith to her: Woman, what is that to me and to thee? my hour is not yet come. 5 His mother saith to the waiters: Whatsoever he shall say to you, do ye. 6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of the purifying of the Jews, containing two or three measures apiece. 7 Jesus saith to them: Fill the waterpots with water. And they filled them up to the brim. 8 And Jesus saith to them: Draw out now, and carry to the chief steward of the feast.
