The Super Bloom is still going in SoCal! On the trail are poppies, daisies, alyssum and now the mustard grass is in bloom. My process was an iPhone photo, then a drawing with color and then collage in Photoshop.
I tried drawing an architectural thing. I'm not good at it, but hey, gotta learn eventually! (I guess. Come to think of it, most people NEVER pick up this skill and turn out mostly OK.)

A piece from my vernal pools/treescapes studies I have been working on in correlation to my interest in local creature found in our woodlands.
I adopted the use of a circle one night, wanting to frame out an idea/sketch and a wine glass happened to be close by. Since then I have used it often, loving the circle aspect.
I really liked the style that I used for one of the most recent labels I did for @abominationbrewingco and @snitzcreekbrewery so I decided to mess with it a bit more. Just a quick thing. I want to draw more animals in this style. This is for me, and my wife, and my daughter. Stay strong. This is for everyone. This is for you. Stay strong. 'Queen of Marseille' I
I have discovered a few unfinished sketches from my previous travels to France from few years ago.
I decided to bring them back to life. I think before I didn't like them so much as I do now.
My first lady of Marseille saying 'Salut' and I am slowely saying 'Goodbye' to the summer...
So I had this idea for a series; fun, whimsical paintings of pet rocks. Full of personality, sweet, make you laugh, that kind of vibe. First one I draw is this. I was so horrified by it I haven't drawn another one since. I'm not kidding; I'm actually quite upset to discover I can't draw "sweet". Or maybe it was a bad day.
