I haven’t been that active here so, rather than waiting a day to post each of my new works, I’m going to just stick with my latest. And this isn’t exactly an oc, but I could draw him again in the future. I also don’t have a name for him yet, so you can write a suggestion in the comments. I drew this since I’m kinda facing a dilemma and sketching helps me clear my mind and think.
It’s like the first «stand-alone” work (meaning not as a part of the lettering course). Btw I haven’t made it to the faux calligraphy lesson yet being stuck with the serifs. Used the tracing paper on top of the initial sketch.
P. S. As for the shovels: in Russia we have long holidays at the beginning of May and that’s when the whole gardening thing starts
My tribute to my good friend who died earlier this year. Another white pastel on black paper. Not my favourite media but I love the effect of it. I need to practice more as I can't get my head around working on negative lol, erasing to get shadows and filling in to get highlights etc. I used a chunky white stick and a white pastel pencil but detail still eludes me lol. It's a technique I need to refine. It's the second picture of a dead person I've put on, apart from humph, so I'm a cheery little soul aren't I lol? Thanks for looking
I painted this in Regent's Park, London. A yellow rose at sunset featuring a pink contrail in the sky. I have it available as prints, and prints on products on Redbubble, Society6, Zazzle, and Threadless. All sites are easily accessible via this link: linktr.ee/okhismakingart
An incorrectly oriented version of "Bees at Work in Blue," a mixed media drawing done with pens, markers, and watercolors. It is available (in the correct orientation) on products on Redbubble, Society6, Zazzle, and Threadless. Try this link for easy access to all sites (and therefore dresses, towels, rugs, tapestries, and more): https://linktr.ee/okhismakingart
