Meaningless

SO many images cut across my mind, I cannot capture them all on one piece of paper. Most of them are meaningless. Or so I believe.

Wisp of Hair for Larry

Day 2 of Inktober (I'm hoping to do this every day this year). A quick sketch in a clearer mindset than last night. Not sure why I named him Larry, but it seemed fitting. Here's to the fact that solving a physics problem on the first try legitimately made me jump out of my chair in excitement.

Apple

This is part of a sequence inspired by @moonchildillustrations and her #moontoberweekends prompts (this one is apple!). This was fun, I want to start incorporating more animation/ sequences on what I create. I got inspired by my mother, when she was little she was scared of eating seeds because she thought they would grow out of her ears. With that in mind, have a great October!

Detective Scumbles

Fun with gouache! While I was painting this, I learned that "scumble"/"scumbling" are words used to describe the action of dry brush painting, so my detective's name is Scumbles.

I loved this design! I been re-watching Samurai Jack, in backwards order from season 4 to 1 . they needed to use this design more, but alas, they are only in one episode, but here we are, enjoy! I highly recommend to anyone and everyone, it is one of the greatest animated masterpieces of American cartoons!

Shopping Spree

Ta-da! Finally done! This was inspired by my annual back to school shopping trip in August with my mom, my siblings, and my grandma. The sign is a bit of a clue to that, the heart is similar for he logo of one of my favorite stores (until they closed last month), and the tan thing in the corner reminds me of the dusty playground we stop at between stores. The hair clip, butterflies, and purple corner (it's really a hair extension) are all from my favorite accessory store. The railing is for the walkway between stores and I don't really have to explain the shirt, skirt, pants, and shopping bag. No trip is complete without a bucket of pretzels to eat on the way home! Anyway, I hope you like my art!

END of the Old World

Not nice. Not happy. An unhappy ending to an unhappy and struggling world. we tried . Now we have been given Illoniri, we start over, and this time the people are different, not just human, but elves and orcs, and people made of candy . Hope starts when we give up hopelessness and embrace new. Don't ask yourself which of these last people you may be . Just ask yourself if you want a better world than this. It really isn't about becoming someone, but finding out who you really are. Bloom .

Nipples

Superstitions: Nipples According to a strange middle-european superstition, it is possible to tell from a man's nipples whether or not he has fathered children. If they are pink in colour, then he has not - while if they are brown, then he has! https://www.instagram.com/p/CE9eRXBBeRQ/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

Nightmare

Superstitions: Nightmare The 'nightmare' was originally believed to be a huge spirit which settled on people while they slept and gave them a feeling of being stifled - and in Europe an old preventative for this was to place a knife or something similar at the end of the bed, as it was well known that the denizens of darkness feared iron and steel.

Northern flying squirrel 02

Glaucomys sabrinus, northern flying squirrel has belly fur that is gray at the base. Flying squirrels might more appropriately be called “gliding squirrels” because they aren’t capable of true powered flight that a pterosaur, a bird or a bat can do. So, I used to do this a lot when I was growing up, like I am sure most of you do. I also do it to get inspiration should I ever need to start work with no prompt or to get limbered up to draw. There are three family younglings that visited me a while ago and they all gave me a different scribble line to start with and then I would draw what I imagine.
