There was a royal lineage in Europe that was so inbred that their jaws started getting really distended and weird. Like Jay Leno, but inbred. (I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt.) So the other day I had a beautiful conversation about lucid dreaming with some friends. We shared amazing dream memories that we all had experienced and right the next day this sleeping beauty started showing up on a piece of paper.

On December 2017, after my frineds and I exhanged gifts, we thought "why don't we do it next year?? Valentine's Day!" So in January 2018, we got our picks and our theme was "Something Effort" since it's important in every relationship. Since then I started making this, every day I would add some details. I was lucky to know that the one I picked likes Game of Thrones so there. Made with air dry clay then painted with acrylic paint.
I've started a new sketch book (one of many, lol), which I am dedicating to ink drawings only. No pencils, no watercolours, just pen and ink :) I drew this doodle today with a Uniball pen and a light ink wash for the space sky. No reference, totally made up. Mistakes and all! Sketchbook is Stillman and Birn Alpha - I love, love, love the whiteness of its pages!
Pencil first. Outlined with ultrafine marker. Started in the middle then grew from there. At first look, I did not like it, but it has grown on me after outlining with markers. Still debating colors.
This is part of a broader idea for a big busy city teeming with different characters. Some of those characters will travel deeper through this city and through different lands. Eventually they get back to where they started from.

New class, Sketching for Animators and illustrators, started last Saturday. I do a lot of trace overlays on students existing work. This was just adding more believable shapes and changing the pose slightly. I really like this class since we get to cover
I've started a new mixed media sketchbook. Which is often times unexplainably daunting. To get over it I just dive in with lots of color. Then the fun begins.
