Black ink butterfly with Celtic influence

Drawing from my Etchr sketchbook, wonderful sketchbook for those who work in watercolor as I do a lot. Thinking of making this into a linocut.

Jumping in late and possibly one of a few one-offs...going to try to make the time. My father's old Navy blade with a male and female deer skull(s).

I don't know what possessed me to draw and paint on my water pic.. but wen the urge comes to create, I believe anything will capture the doodles if you make it so. Here... I was getting ready for bed and thought wouldn't it be nice to be on an island right now.

This is bear 148 - she lived in the bow valley and was relocated several times, but a hunter got the better of her (she still had her tracking collar on) - this is an homage to the animals that are lost to us.

Some times my doodles require more than one medium and so I combine sketches with digital and some times raw mediums like charcoal and watercolors. This is ball point pen in a sketch book of many diverse doodles.

Sore wrist makes for slow productivity. This is once again Amar and Augustine. This time in a different setting. When my hubby and I play with these characters we end up sticking them into different settings and situations just to see how they will behave and how their relationship develops under different circumstances.

11/23/2010 ••• Bit of an oldie but one of my favorites

My son and I were blowing bubbles in liquid watercolors with dish soap, then putting the bubbles on the paper. I took a pen to some of mine, and these little guys appeared.

So some of you may be thinking.. But what does Link look like in his developing cartoony style? Well here he is! If you don't know Link, the Hero of Courage, is from a game called the Legend of Zelda. Usually on my home visit I will play as Toon Link with my friends and family when we play Super Smash Brothers.
