This artwork was inspired from snapchat, an app which I really love. I took one of my favourite filters and drew it on a person. It was an interesting experiment, I got the idea of google! A far-too-common archetype that i have observed frequently in people as they converse with another is one in which an individual uses two layers of defense to protect an otherwise unexamined confusion or emptiness. This relates to a defense of the ego and does not apply to all situations involving anything discussed. First posturing: -A mask (or wall) of mockery is sustained in which the defensive individual behaves flippantly as if in jest. This positioning is a way to be aloof from the situation, using incredulity and belittlement to keep a person or their ideas away from the defensive individual. Second posturing: -A mask (or wall) of rage is revealed after a certain level of perceived threat is achieved internally. This positioning is usually the one the defensive individual maintains when they have given up the argument or the introspection. Not risking an ontological or existential crisis, the defensive individual lashes out with anger, often accusatorily in manner, potentially belittling others further or just plain rushing away in a huff. This is usually the end of the engagement. Third posturing: -The masks (or walls) both come off, leaving the defensive individual to examine the thoughts or behaviors involved in the situation more critically. The defensive individual may find themselves feeling deeply uncomfortable, sad, uneasy, lost, or confused. This position leads to introspection and to a genuine openness, which is not something that the defensive individual had been prepared for. They may find that they were incorrect, only partially correct, or that the perceived rightness of their idea/behavior now has an expanded context, all of which may seem frightening. Individuals may become mentally paralyzed at this point. It takes a strength and an honesty to reflect in this position, which is not something that everyone expressing this archetype will be capable of doing. (Based on my professional insights as: a cashier, as a member of various technical support staffs, as an occasional minister, and as a peer counselor. Also based on my casual and repeated interactions with both strangers and with more intimately known persons over the course of my lifetime. Observations are my own.)

Happy New Year! I am thankful for the time I have, for the people in my life, and what God has done. After a life long struggle with alcoholism, I have been sober for 2 and half years now. God helped my to quit and to be set free from it. There is so much more to life and so much I want to do. I have also struggled with living in the past and regrets, but I have been making progress with being in the moment more and being content. I'm looking forward to today and what this upcoming year brings.

I have really been enjoying watching Adventure Time lately so I drew Princess Bubblegum.

I've never been much of a cat person but I have to say that Akita helped me to appreciate cats. She is a great hunter and with take out pesky mice and she doesn't chew electronic wires. She's very nice and likes to come up to me when I go outside. But she isn't too invasive and she isn't annoying at all. She stays outside for the most part as well so the monastery doesn't smell like cat. :P I think this is probably my first drawing of a cat, I just sketched her real quick and added her eye color, she kinda looks like an artic cat like this, well she is pretty resistant to cold, lol (her normal colors are brown/black/orange/white).

Quick 1 hour sketch working with a limited palette for a moody, gritty atmosphere. I always like to think of the story behind a piece before I start, and this one was a reflection of where I see the world going - a dystopian world in which many parts of the city have been abandoned, taken over by urban foliage, and left to ruin as people flee.

Sorry for the vent art, it's just well... I have some unpleasant memories to get off my chest. I've been in many relationships where I've been used and cheated on. They all promised one thing, that they'd stay with me and help me get through my mental illness's. But they lied, got their meal and ran off. But for a few months now, I've met a really wonderful man and I think he may be the one. He has shown that he really likes me and I can't wait for our future U//v//U

Whenever I go to the art store, I see those pencils, erasers, sharpeners, sketch pads eager to graduate from the store to their rightful owners for another schooling which they only graduate when been used up.

A heavy WIP of my illustration based on the Broadway musical "HEATHERS" song, "Meant To Be Yours." When it comes to digital art, everything I've done has all been self taught. I began this piece when I first began on my I-pad and am still at it till I can make this piece what I envision it to be. I learned a lot of shadowing and effects on this piece, and I can't wait to complete it! What do you think thus far?
