A bit on the rough side right now, since I'm just getting started (again) on watercolours. I've never painted this loosely before so this is a big step for me. Maybe I'll try a selfie again in a few months to see how I've progressed.

I crawled right up to Daddy's modelling mirror which stands on the floor by the box of plaster. A great big black creature was creeping towards me. I got cautious and stood still. The creature was shapeless. It was one of those creatures that can spread itself out and creep under the furniture or turn into a black fog that gets thicker and thicker until it is quite sticky and gets all around you and fastens itself to you. I let the creature get a little closer and put its hand out. The hand crept along the floor and then was pulled back suddenly. The creature came even closer. I stared and stared at her until I had stared her into little pieces and I thought, you're big and scraggy like a carthorse and nobody can hunt for you in the grass and you couldn't hide anywhere because you can be seen the whole time and you can't surprise anybody and make them feel good! Still, there was this weird vibe nagging me, hard to explain, just wouldn’t quit bugging me inside. I ignored it, though, brushed it off, kept going anyway. One thing I’d say now? Listen to that inner voice - every single time. I kept picturing the steady cash coming in, which blurred how clearly I saw things. At first, they paid me consistent returns, making it feel legit. To draw a forest so it's big enough you don't include the tops of the trees or any sky. Just very thick tree-trunks growing absolutely straight. ... In a proper painting of a forest everything is roughly the same colour, the moss, the tree-trunks and the branches of the fir trees, everything is soft and solemn, half-way between grey and brown and green but very little green. At one end it opened out into a bay for his descendants to bathe in. Then Grandfather thought, here will I dwell and multiply, for verily this is the Land of Canaan. Then Grandfather and Grandmother built a big two-storey house with a sloping roof and lots of rooms and steps and terraces and a huge veranda and placed plain wooden furniture everywhere inside and outside the house and when it was ready Grandfather began to plant things until the field became a Garden of Eden where he walked around in his big black beard. Hey Boos! This is me in kindergarten. I decided to make different eras of my life. Dino Nugget is me in kindergarten (I was misaken for a boy all the time), then there is Princess who is me in 1st and 2nd grade (I was a feral demon in a princess dress what then), then Hoodie Kid (me in 5th and 6th grade), and lastly Bell Bottom who is me in 7th grade (she wont make an appearance until I make a big change in my style cause she's me currently) anyway this is just a little project for fun.
