Inspired by my recent trip to Korea, which I intentionally went this season to catch the cherry/plum/peach blossoms. As I observed the zigzagness of the tree branches, I see in it the number of roads/mis-roads I had to take, as someone unfamiliar with the land, to get to a good bloom spot. Which kinda reminds me of life. I felt I just had to do this piece.
It's a quick digital recreation of my last gouache painting.
And I don't like it very much.
- I had trouble finding a good brush for painting leaves on the top of the tree.
- There is no magic like in traditional art.
- I didn't enjoy drawing as much as painting with gouache.
- I couldn't peel off the tape when I was done.
I entered this one in the pre/post quarrantine challenge but it is part of my new journal. which will be full of flowers and flower quotations. Using Derwent inktense pencils.
The forest nearby is full of baby banksias growing in poor gravelly/sandy soil which they do better in. The little one was growing on the edge of a gravel road.
I've started a fantastic Domestika Course by Ruth Wilshaw: "Painting Atmospheric Landscapes with Gouache."
It's my first attempt at gouache painting. I'm so excited to try this art medium. I've only painted with watercolors so far.
Thank you, Ruth, for your course. I enjoy it so much!
I sketched this in August for the Red Book of Bashkortostan using watercolor and ink. Today I did some experiments with Illustrator and damn it looks cool
I was at the verge of giving up on all hopes of finding any real solution or at least answers to my crypto issues when I first came across and read an article about SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY. It was truly becoming exhaustively frustrating when I started having troubles accessing my bitcoin wallet for weeks; but kept receiving email notifications of transactions I know nothing about; and then even got worse and tension rising after I discovered I wasn't getting much help other than formalities from the wallet company, even after their estimated wait period elapsed. Sceptical, but having not more to lose, I contacted SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY and explained all of my problems to them in detail, also providing related messages as proofs and verifications. Though hoping for a solution, I was truthfully bracing up for another round of disappointments as I couldn't help comprehend in totality the complexity of the processes explained by their agent RON who was very professional and patient to explain repeatedly. Very happily and satisfactorily, SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY didn't only help me gain access back to my wallet, they were also able to recover my balance back to the last cent. There are only a few lovely large pine trees near my home in the Southwest of Western Australia. This little sprig was found on a walk where there was only the one pine tree in amongst the other trees.
