March OF ROBOTS Day 2: DANGER!
Done in @procreate using Tinderbox & Spectra brushes completed in 45 minutes (while watching Walking Dead)
I guess the illustrator in me came out on this one...
Doodle piano by Cédric la touffe. Superforma and The Silo asked me to customize the old piano that was outside at the silo. I first started during the concerts of 10lec6, Loire Valley Valypsos, The Green box and Ineige then finished at Silo after 22 hours of work.
What's inside my bag? well i bring point n shoot analog camera, a DSLR, pencil box (with pen, pencil and eraser inside), watercolor travel pack from Daler Rowney, mini sketchbook (i use Muji), lipstick, brush pens (Pentel). And no, i'm not bring botanical plant inside my bag, its just something i see and i directly draw it, haha.
One of my high school friends went on a family trip and returned to find his girlfriend obsessed with a dead bird. She had found it, extensively photographed it, and kept it in a box. He broke up with her. I cannot, for the life of me, get over this story, even though it happened almost 20 years ago. I want to hunt this girl down and ask her approximately one million questions.
I'm currently doing exercises from DrawABox. Although the header here is: "The Aspiration is just to fill a page. It's not a product. No one has to see it." I will probably end up posting more of these. This is not the same as the graphic journal, which is more about me, my daily activities, etc.
I graduated from school with a degree in Bachelor of Science is what my teachers told me is a good enough degree to get hired in the art world but I don't know what in the art world I want to do. It took me six-years to get a four-year degree and eight years after graduating from high-school to figure out what I want to do with my life. I want to be a freelance artist creating my own work and doing commissions for others but even with my degree the level that I am at now is not good enough to sell neither am I at the level I want to be at. So.... I am taking the rest of my twenties to get at that level starting at ground zero and learning the basics from this website I found www.drawabox.com. This image is one of the exercises I'm doing. I have seen some amazing artists here and would love to learn from all of you so if you have any feedback on my work or would like to have a conversation between artists please don't hesitate to send me a message. About a songwriter who wrote his songs on a piano situated in a sand box. About a musician combining a variety of tapes to create this carefree beach sound. About a man who was afraid of the audience and who broke down under the pressure. Tricolor linoprint using one lino plate. June, 2020.
