I know it looks a little sunny, but the reference photo for this one was a winter shot. It's the countryside in the hills surrounding Carreg Cennen castle, Carmarthenshire, Wales
An animatronic especially designed for a particular individual to climb into it, only for them to get impaled by a variety of steel bits. However, this particular individual was never captured, for their execution was performed only several days after the finishing of this product... so it sits, motionless, in the unused areas of Ringmaster's Pizza Hall. i did a small doodle whilst looking down at the green fields of England from a plane that i was travelling on. Once home i worked on it and then used photoshop to create a repeating pattern.
My drawings depict figures that are created from my imagination. My figures are distorted and usually out of proportion as I prefer not to be constrained by reality of what we see around us . My work typically is done using a simple black biro. I find the act of drawing a vehicle to express and explore ideas in figurative forms.
This is a painting I made trying to capture the simple beauty of a bird on a frozen tree. On a deeper level, this can symbolize appreacting the small moments in life, like the beauty of a bird on a snowy branch.
