This was created in response to the question : "What is inside your head" (or something like that) Many excellent responses I viewed. Even though the prompt closed I felt inspired

This one was for a friend of mine from highschool. She wanted me to change the dragon to black and white. I complied with her request, but I'm posting the original here. I think the classic red is best for the legendary creature.

I'm trying to come up with MY language that clearly communicates to everyone what I see outside. Landscape has always been the hardest for me.

I painted the foxtail agave plants that I see everywhere on my walks, and the clouds of air that they create

My day work consists in taking good pictures, so I always hunt for fine pictures. One afternoon, walking on the beach, I admired a stunning nature scene: majestic sunset, gold sunshine, calm water, white bamboo clouds covering part of the sun. Other than being a New Year's resolution, it's been a goal for me to get better at working with acrylic paints and patience. So far I'm making progress and practicing as much as I can. I love mini canvas, they're so much fun.

I find it awe-inspiring to watch crewed shuttles launch. This 3.5" x 4.5" acrylic on custom tiny canvas captures those first few moments after lift off. I used modeling paste to really emphasize the depth of the dust cloud, and I love that it adds a tactile element to it.
