A big fan of the Star Trek universe and was especially impressed with the final run of Picard. This is the new Enterprise in action, heavily damaged but winning a battle against a Klingon Bird of Prey. I wanted a unique angle and decided to flip the starship upside down. It's space; why not. Digitally painted in Rebelle 6 with watercolors, pen, and oil brushes, and meant to have a classic/watercolor feel. This is not AI nor is any part of this AI.
I painted one of my cats, Banana, in a cat tunnel. The coloring in the photo was muted, so I worked on color and fabric texture. I am thrilled with her facial expression, and the overall composition feels good. This is not AI nor is any element made from AI.
Wanted a fantasy comp but with a unique color palette and a modern subject. I also wanted the foreground to appear as a very distinct layer hoping the landscape appears downhill to the viewer. I used Barad-dûr as inspiration for the castle ruins.
The closest thing to my right was my new tamagotchi which I got for Christmas. It gave me the inspo to experiment with animation! I used the main colour of my tamagotchi for the base, pink. Title: Never Forget. A quick piece I made today. I wanted to go abstract so the viewer can put their own meaning into the piece, but each paint stroke I made I had September 11th in mind. Digitally painted with watercolor in Rebelle 5 on a simple white canvas and sent over to PS.
Zahra Sedighi-Hamedani sits in prison in Iran, sentenced to death for being a lesbian. Digitally painted with pencil brushes and textured overlays to produce a watercolor-type image. Shading tones and background are meant to represent the Kurdish flag.
A great deal of upheaval in my personal life, including making steps to better my mental health as well as reflecting on changes in my work life (potentially) and also my living situation, have dominated my headspace as of late.
Long story short, Buddha reminding us all to still any madness in life got me to work here as did the obvious itch to get some drawing done!
Before I got into digital painting, I was putting together digital collages. I love digital collages, but most of them are a bit too literal/pop art for me. No diss on pop art; I create a lot in that style. But, I wanted to make a smoother, more blended collage for my profile pic.
