Leaf insect painting

These masters of leaf-like camouflage can be found throughout Southeast Asia, with some of the biodiversity hotspots being Indonesia, Malaysia, and Papua New Guinea . This is Nanophyllium suzukii watercolor painting, I like so much this technique. More like this on: https://www.instagram.com/camilojulianc/

Animals on the move - this is a doodle painted in acrylics. I start by throwing colours down, then look for something to make into an element. It all takes about as long as a drawn doodle does and there is no prior plan and I do not do any drawing at all!

Milagro Heart

I love the tradition and the symbol behind a milagro heart. As part of a religious ritual or an act of devotion, milagros can be offered to a symbol of a saint as a reminder of a petitioner's particular need, or in gratitude for a prayer answered.

This is a watercolour doodle - and I mean water! I rely on lucky accidents to get me through these paintings and I never give myself much time to do them, but they make a nice change from drawing and loosen the wrists!
