Samuel Beckett (1906–1989)
On a late-night walk near Dublin harbor, Beckett found himself standing on the end of a pier in the midst of a winter storm. Amid the howling wind and churning water, he suddenly realized that the “dark he had struggled to keep under” in his life—and in his writing, which had until then failed to find an audience or meet his own aspirations—should, in fact, be the source of his creative inspiration.
“I shall always be depressed,” Beckett concluded, “but what comforts me is the realization that I can now accept this dark side as the commanding side of my personality. In accepting it, I will make it work for me.”

The result is not as good as I imagined. But anyway I want to share it, because:
- others may find it great,
- art taste is subjective,
- even if it's bad, you can receive a constructive critique or tips on how to improve it.
Don't be afraid to share your failures. They push you forward. You can learn a lot from them.
This delightful black-and-white drawing captures the lively and playful essence of a whimsical animal parade. Bursting with creativity, each animal character showcases unique traits and expressions, bringing a joyful scene to life. From the adorable, tiny mice balancing on top of each other to the elegant elephants dancing gracefully, the artwork is a breathtaking celebration of harmony and fun in the animal kingdom. With its intricate details and enchanting charm, this piece invites viewers to step into a world of imagination and whimsy where animals parade with joy and carefree spirit.
Another version of lantern illustration.
I wanted to redraw the last illustration. But I changed the concept while drawing. It's a beauty of creativity - it can surprise.
The most important thing here is that I feel so happy when I draw illustrations in this style
A dragon I designed and sculpted, took many many hours to complete but super happy with the outcome. Sculpted using polymer clay, painted with acrylic gouache and coated with varnish.
I have avoided social media for a couple of months now as it was making me unproductive, unmotivated and all-round less creative. I miss the community of creative social media so I have made this account to post my art anonymously: good or bad; finished or not; unedited and unfiltered. I hold back a lot when making art and even more so when publishing it. This is an opportunity to change that. This is a quick self-portrait just to force myself into creating anything today.
