The work was launched on the 5th anniversary of World Reading Day to help people better understand reading.   My artwork is based on the 147-page book "The Sorrow of Books" in simple, harmonious but profound colors. In the picture are the entertainment devices that help relax the everyday human beings that I was inspired by reading. The picture is of the current situation when people are at home trying to prevent COVID 19. We have spent most of our time online, using electronic devices. We have forgotten the presence of books and have made books buried by more advanced things. This is a bit of mixed media here. I used Acrylic paints and Arteza colored pencils. This was my first attempt on trying to be kind of realistic, I think it turned out pretty decent. My characters for a current project, Silo, and Mitho, high fiving each other.

This was my very first attempt at the grid. I restarted drawing about October or November of 2020. I was watching something on YouTube and a video came up about a street artist who uses the grid method when scaling up their artwork for the sides of buildings. It got me thinking ... and drawing ... and learning. Its so much fun to watch something slowly come to life from the paper. This was done in a sketchbook. After that I went and got a 9 x 12 inch Strathmore drawing pad - series 300. I have researched paper and I found a great deal on the Strathmore Series 500 roll. 40 inches (or something) by 8 yards! I can't wait to see how the projects improve when the quality of the paper increases. I am currently working on a gift for a friend. Its a drawing of their baby in a little piggy outfit. Unfortunately - I won't post it because its a picture of someone's baby ( I don't have permission - yet) ... but I am super happy with it so far!

Some doodles that occurred during the month of April

Toronto the city is fighting to save Heritage buildings from demolition, they are already on a heritage site called The Distillery District. The current premier of Ontario is corrupt and get financial backing from developer friends, to sell off important pieces of Ontario land., without any public consultation. The situation is currently being fought for by the community through estate lawyers.

I'm currently doing exercises from DrawABox. Although the header here is: "The Aspiration is just to fill a page. It's not a product. No one has to see it." I will probably end up posting more of these. This is not the same as the graphic journal, which is more about me, my daily activities, etc.

I just love how easy it is to doodle with a tablet! I can die peacefully knowing that it only takes me less than 20 minutes to doodle with a Huion than taking more than an hour to doodle on my phone using my finger (I use a Huion tablet)Im currently still practicing so it might take a while to draw fanart or even my OC's

Since I’m new I decided I would update something that shows kinda who I am! :) I made this in 2019 for my art class where we had to make a collage with drawings and words to describe myself. I love the way it turned out so it is for the first page in my current sketchbook.

I'm on a quest to stay positive despite current events and crazy unrest. To this end I'm meditating and seeking out positive influences every day for a week and capturing what I find in my sketchbook.

I am currently new to this and would like some pointers on what I should practice more with.

I'm currently working on a digital comic and this is one of the main characters. Her name is Akiko she is gifted with the ability to use magic that few have, shes a huge flirt and very vain in her appearance. Simple Concept art for her.

Because why not? Why wasn't a doughnut the ruler of China? Why isn't a doughnut currently the President? Because people aren't crazy! That's why!

Although this is my commercial work, it's more in keeping with my sketchbook drawings so I'm posting it here. It's for Waitrose My week magazine on old photos of V.E day and what we can lean from them in our current international emergency.
