I got my first client for logo design and they asked for a custom watercolor illustration of Iris flower. So I researched about iris flower and did a rough sketch. From there, I started rendering color using a special brush from GrutBrushes.

Upside world & underwater nature doodle

Inspired by Pink Floyd's 'Breathe' from The Dark Side of the Moon album, this is a conceptual representation of a concept album.

A drawing made in Adobe Draw on the iPad. One of my first attempts on a strict color palette. Normally Im in to More is better, instead of that boring Less is more.. But it is fun to control the colors for a change. As a matter of fact, change is just good, even when its not.

I painted HP Lovecraft and Edgar Allan Poe in order to spook up Halloween. I'll probably do Stephen King, too, at some point, and maybe Shirley Jackson. Anyone have any other favorite horror novelists?

Inktober day 2

“Beware the wild rushes”, my mother told me. “They grow on the bank side along the salt sea!”. But I, being young, I heeded her none. (Inktober inspired by the Decemberists!!)

The raven is an American symbol of rebirth and wisdom. Tryed to represent that in my sketchbook.

An old-style doodle, with many parts to look at! This took a few days, from the initial drawing, to inking, to uploading to my computer and digitally coloring and adding textures and detail! Lots of fun, and definitely different from my normal doodle-style. Thanks for viewing!
