My latest illustration created for an illustration technique demo video. Oil drawing transfer technique. Watercolor resists the oil drawing on the paper. Sometimes oil and water do mix.

Went to a drawing group the other night :) One artist would pose and we drew them.

I have been working on this A3 double 'Pets in a Portrait' and I can't share the finished piece until after christmas as it will be a gift. I'm so chuffed with it, so heres some sneaky peaks that don't give too much away!

White-footed tamarin ( Saguinus leucopus) lives in tropical dry forests, tropical wet forests, primary and secondary forests. Its diet consists of insects, soft fruits, and nectar, plant exudates, prey animals, and flowers.

More literal illustrations of food names. Drunken shrimp.

For day18 the inktober word was bottle so this is quite simple. Let's recycle plastic bottles so we won't get buried in them.

Painting about leaving good things behind, and not missing them. It's kind of about aging and moving on. Watercolor on paper, smaller than A3.

A few sprawling critters from my sketchbook...

It's never been my practice to stick pins into insects and collect them that way, but drawing them is quite appealing. These are created with Prismacolor pencils and a Micron pen.
