I have been attempting for some time to accomplish the 100 heads challenge, its been a slow process but my goal is 4 poses from 25 characters from some of my favorite movies and t.v. Series. Ive enjoyed this project so far and have noticed its pushed me to work on some much needed improvement on drawing heads in general.
By utilizing the beauty and flexibility of the Kufi writing style, the word "FATMA" is illustrated in a triangular shape. The word is sculpted on wood via simple tools and was colored with pencils and markers. For my beloved Mom.

Colloquially known as the "Gypsies of Fey," Farthings are small woodland creatures most commonly seen in abandoned or forgotten settlements where the natural elements have begun to reclaim the landscape. As a race, they can trace their lineage back to both faerie and goblinkind, but are not fully accepted by either branch of their family tree. Combining elements of each of their progenitors with attributes of other woodland inhabitants, Farthings vary widely in both color and physiognomy.
This took me about an hour which is great because I don't have much time to spare as I am doing Camp NaNoWriMo this month. I still want to be active in the art space so this will have to do for now. I honestly really love how this piece came out. Again drawing another OC because why not.
