This is a drawing I have been working on when I need to slow down and turn my brain off for a little while so it's taking quite a while to finish but I am always happy to see it progress that little bit further every time I sit down with it. This is from my A3 sketchbook, I used to stick to smaller A5 and A4 sizes but I am certainly appreciating the extra space with this drawing.
@siennylovesdrawing 's #handrawn #lettering ~ #Believe ~ specially #doodled for the #SexualAssaultAwarenessMonth (#SAAM) of #April 2019. Believe is a valuable support for the victims/ survivors to be brave & strong to speak up for themselves
#Pens : #ArtlineDecorite @artlinemy
#Colours : Metalic Green (Yeah!! She loves this closer colour effect to #Teal ~ Yes, the official colour of SAAM)
Be a supportive active listener to focusing on a victim's sharing, not thinking ahead on how to respond, not to worry about giving advice, just purely let the victims know that they are being heard
#believesurvivors very important, definitely the assault happened was not at all the victim's fault. She believes that every survivor deserves a safe place to receive support & help. "Yes, I believe you, you are not alone, I am here for you & you will get through this for sure"

After the initial shock of creating my first sketch, I realized that I could do better. And after about a week this one was finally finished. (Would have done it sooner, but I had school.) And I once again managed to amaze myself. I never thought that it would be possible that I, who has basically no hand eye coordination, could create this.
In an attempt to be much more consistent with my drawing practice (and to tackle my insecurities about showing people my drawings) I am hoping that posting some of my sketches online will help keep me accountable. So day 1 sketch, I managed to find a very cheap used college set of Rotring Rapidograph pens online, when they arrived today I was delighted to see that they had NEVER been used! After a bit of a happy dance I got a couple of the pens assembled and started to figure out how they work. This is a quick sketch on tracing paper not that I was tracing anything I just need to invest in better paper with less tooth to be able to use these pens without having ink flow issues.
I’m back! The game company I work for hit some turbulence and laid off half the studio. I’m still there but it took a while to adjust. Getting back to my own work now.
This was drawn with my Sailor King of Pen (M). What a pen! My Royal Tangerine 1911s is to the left for size comparison.
There is a theory that Universe is a consciousness. To find what is out there we have to find what is in our own consciousness. So thats a zoomed in eye and the interstellar spaceship going in the space that exist within us.
