Some shoulder studies using a statue by Borromini. The muscles on this guy were bizarre and somehow still anatomically correct. Medium: Charcoal on Newsprint Time: 30 min x 3

This is La'Kiesha Slade as Shay Dixon in the show Skam Austin :) As you can see by the dates, I left this untouched for more than 6 months, so it felt pretty good to finally wrap it up the other day!

Some bright neon lights

I was feeling less than content when I did this drawing. However, the subject took my mind to a place I was yearning for.

Drawn in Procreate.

I drew this a long time ago but thought I would share it. I did it with color pencil on 18x24 inch paper. Enjoy.

A fun drawing I did of an octopus who's aspiring to be a writer. Because you know, octopuses have a lot of ink!

Digital drawing

Ballpoint drawing on old postcards, framed with an original vinyl record.

We continue the #inktober environmental issues series with the #day19 word: #scorched and for this word I tried to illustrate the Urban Heat Island effect. This takes place in metropolitan areas that are warmer than the rural areas surrounding them. The main cause of the UHI effect is the alteration of land surfaces (concrete and asphalt). Heat waste produced by people and their tools (like vehicles and industry) is another cause and also the decreased amount of vegetation. UHIs often have lower air and water quality that have a negative effect on the environment of these areas. It is also considered to be a possible contribution to global warming. © Maria!Bălan, 2018

The events that occur on a full moon can be weird and crazy. You just never know what type of people you may encounter on a night of a full moon.

For day18 the inktober word was bottle so this is quite simple. Let's recycle plastic bottles so we won't get buried in them.

Digitally made pattern

Learning to draw......one of my first

My first attempt with colored pencil

I put this together for Arsene's last home match before he left Arsenal last season. Probably my favorite drawing to-date.

I painted this spider using sketchbook pro. Go check out its creation at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDVbsqkThFQ
