Hey everyone! This is an interactive website I did for my BFA thesis this year. The piece explores the struggles I’ve faced as a black, lesbian woman. This piece features events that happened when I was in an unhealthy relationship in high school, from late-2016 to mid-2017. The work combines CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and HTML with digitized images that I drew on paper, using black colored pencil. I'd really appreciate some feedback and critique for this work. This critter's technically unnamed, so if you have any suggestions please comment them, I do like feedback sometimes lol. The scene is set on an eco-planet, somewhat like a zoo but more future tech-y. The ring in the sky is a sort of shield against any stray space rocks as shown. Hope you like it. (older drawing, made with Krita, all my drawings so far were from Krita actually)
This artwork was supposed to be a self portrait but it quickly turned into a more charming, awesome stylized portrait (not mine, obviously). This piece has a color scheme similar to midnight gospel and katana zero (video game), I have added the blue and pink color shades to make it a little bit interesting. I always enjoy making characters, but with a traditional medium, this is my first digital character design or more of a cartoon. This character is inspired by the vampire genre with the color scheme of pink and blue, the cartoony inspiration is from television series such as adventure time, Rick and Morty, and midnight gospel.

I graduated from school with a degree in Bachelor of Science is what my teachers told me is a good enough degree to get hired in the art world but I don't know what in the art world I want to do. It took me six-years to get a four-year degree and eight years after graduating from high-school to figure out what I want to do with my life. I want to be a freelance artist creating my own work and doing commissions for others but even with my degree the level that I am at now is not good enough to sell neither am I at the level I want to be at. So.... I am taking the rest of my twenties to get at that level starting at ground zero and learning the basics from this website I found www.drawabox.com. This image is one of the exercises I'm doing. I only drew Kitty, not the background. Don't ask why I'm so obsessed with DDLC... I do other things too, but DDLC is the main thing that I draw (Especially since I try to base my style off of the Doki Doki art). This didn't turn out as well as some of my other drawings because it's a bit smaller... Ignore those feet, I don't usually draw feet, so I don't have any practice... Anyway, if you have any suggestions or feedback, please let me know! :)

I was experimenting with new brushes here, and also learning to draw eyes in different styles. I struggled a lot with the nose in this painting, because it was hard to figure out proportions without the rest of the face. Feedback always welcome!
