This is a piece I did for a short film about the life of a victim of sexual abuse, after all the court cases and conviction. The film wanted to show the side that you don't see, the director wanted me to paint a picture capturing that emotion. Although I have never been through it personally so I cant speak on the feeling, I hope this makes you think about someone who has been having a battle in their mind. Give them some love !

Trying to meld the moody tones of pulp noir with the playful romanticism of 1950s lifestyle illustration. Inspired by the fairground scene from the 1942 Veronica Lake classic, This Gun for Hire.
This was Emma Thompson in one of my favourite films, Stranger Than Fiction - she is brilliant! I used just colouring pencils in this one to try out a soft, harmonious look, on the background of blue A4 card. I quite like the relationship between the foreground and background in this piece; had the background been white, I don't think it would have worked as well.

Konishi Mansho (1600 - 1644), the last ordained priest to serve in Japan during the prohibition era of the Tokugawa Shogunate (think of the Shusaku Endo novel, "Silence", which was adapted to film by Martin Scorsese in 2016). Exiled from his homeland in 1614, he eventually made his way to Rome and enter a convent to be ordained as a priest. He would later to his home country to minister to the persecuted Christians there, only to be arrested and martyred in 1644. I tried to mimic a traditional ink painting style to invoke the melancholic feel of this homecoming journey.
One of the scariest characters I've ever seen. The most frightening of the vampires from the movie "Fright Night" (1985). I had to draw her as a form of therapy. Thumbs-up for the art department on that movie! If she had had white eyes instead of the red eyes in the movie, I would've been irreparably damaged! :) (Pencil on paper, size A4).
Now you seen cheery geeky side, I know wish to introduce my dark and horror side... This is something I drew last autumn. While growing up I always had a taste for ghost stories and eventually horror films... Creating demonic entities eerie and unsettling scenes... The Darkness... the unknown can be both scary... and exciting!

Done 2022 with lead pencils on 11x17 strathmore drawingl paper. just wanted to draw some image with some story to it cuz usually my drawing do not look like it has stories. This prequel, it is revealed that the Cârța Monastery was built somewhere in Romania by a duke centuries ago. Becoming obsessed with dark magic and Satanism, the Duke attempts to summon a demonic force from the catacombs only to be killed by the members of the Vatican who then sealed the rift with the Blood of Christ. Hundreds of years later, the monastery was bombed heavily during the events of World War II, releasing the same evil spirit from its imprisonment. The demon had since taken the form of a nun as a means of blending with the other nuns as well as to mock their faith. Throughout the years, nuns continuously prayed in communion to combat the evil, but in vain as the demonic entity walked freely around the monastery all nights, in the form of a nun to mock their faith.
In 1952, Valak had slain several of the nuns, leaving only two survivors. Sister Victoria, with a key in hand, commits suicide in order to prevent Valak from claiming her as a host. Sometime after her death, the Vatican tasks Burke and Sister Irene to investigate. Valak manipulates the characters throughout the film ranging from creating mass illusions with the ghosts of the slain nuns to weaken Sister Irene and tormenting Father Burke by taking the form of a young boy who had died from a botched exorcism at his hands. Valak then buries Father Burke alive before luring Sister Irene to become possessed. When the catacombs began to flood, Valak tries to strangle Sister Irene to death. While inspecting her for any vital signs, Sister Irene spits the Blood of Christ onto Valak, burning it severely. The rift is then resealed. However, this would prove to not be the end of the Demon Nun as when the group was leaving, Frenchie, a French Canadian otherwise known as Maurice is revealed to have an inverse cross branded on the back of his neck. This segues to the original Conjuring film during a lesson the Warrens were giving about demonic possession. This drawing was an attempt at drawing something grotesque as well as a study of a side profile of a person. Alukah is a Hebrew word that means "horse-leech", a type of leech with many teeth that feeds on the throats of animals. Inspired by Jungi Ito's "Slug Girl" and "Leech Woman" from the film Puppet Master.
I picked ‘S’ because some of my favourite things begin with this letter. Most importantly it’s the initial of my first and last name. Done with green acrylic paint, acrylic markers and alcohol based pens. My lucky Number 7, Seven, Shawshank redemption, Superman favourite films, Seventies decade I was born.
