I enjoy creating traditional (mostly pencil/charcoal/pastel) art and more recently, digital paintings and drawing. I live in South Africa and I hope to one day sell my work for a living.
I specialize in digital art, drawing, graphite, painting, pastel.
Lion in charcoal
The viking with psychosis
One of my favourite subject matter; birds!
Finally had a chance today to put more time into a piece.
No time for anything serious, so here's a bunch of 15 to 25 minute doodles.
Willow charcoal with soft pastel on 120 GM grey paper. Did this in about 15 minutes during an art class I was giving as a demonstration of cutting loose instead of always trying to maintain control.
A doodle I had a lot of fun with a few years back (old art)
quick doodle; experimenting with a different approach
A portrait of a friends father.
Don't have a lot of time these days so these last ones are all 30 minute portraits.
Haven't gotten much drawing done of late. Feels good to be putting charcoal to paper again.
I love the Blade Runner films and the new one had such awesome weird lighting that I had to draw Luv at least once. So here is the crazy psychotic android. Done with a mix of hard and soft pastel.
What can I say, I like drawing wolves.
It was really hot (34c) so I thought drawing a snow wolf would cool me down. It didn't work...
A drawing of a good friend of mine.
Being brave and having fun with colour; admittedly this took me quite some time. I'm a huge fan of the film District 9 and needed to pay tribute somehow, so here it is.
A charcoal leopard
A tribute to the film that sent my childhood imagination on a journey it has never returned from :)
I'd forgotten how much fun drawing with raw charcoal is
'Don't tell me what I can't do!' - Since I'm on a roll with drawing lost characters I decided to do Locke next.
