The Japanese say you have three faces. The first face, you show to the world. The second face, you show to your close friends, and your family. The third face, you never show anyone.
45/100 of my nature illo themed 100 Day Project. I started my challenge drawing only on my iPad but hit some bumps when I forgot my Apple Pencil in Florida (I live in California). With that, I have been getting reacquainted with my sketchbook which has been set aside for a few months until now. Feels good to get back into it. Everytime I come back to painting, I wonder why I ever paused in the first place.
The Mexican wolf (Canis lupus baileyi) is a subspecies of gray wolf once native to southeastern Arizona, southern New Mexico, western Texas and northern Mexico. Its ancestors were likely the first gray wolves to enter North America after the extinction of the Beringian wolf, as indicated by its southern range and basal physical and genetic characteristics. Remember when Billy Shears showed up to replace him? Nah, me neither. I wasn't going to wreck my record to hear them say it either. I know the prompt was warm colors, sadly if I did the jacket in pink or red it would've been George or Ringo. Anyway, a quick but fun sketch. "See the worst thing about doing this, doing something like this, is I think that at first people sort of are a bit suspicious. 'You know, come on, what are you up to?'"
This is one of my favourite artists, Arlo Parks. I‘ve started up with my portraits again since social distancing, and she was the first one waiting in the queue since the summer :)
It's official. I've gone to the dark side and fallen in love with acrylic gouache - specifically the Liquitex one. If you'd like to read my detailed thoughts I've put them in my blog ( https://www.lindsaymadeit.com/2020/03/05/acrylic-gouache-review-new-portrait/ ) , but otherwise, here's my first painting with them.
Cute peaceful fox drinking coffee, wearing a scarf. Trying gouache for the first time. It's a really nice medium. I am definitely going to keep at it and make some more gouache paintings.
I’m 32 days into a 100 day project of little paintings to reclaim moments of creative joy with no strings attached – a daily reminder of what made me want to be an “artist” in the first place. I’m posting daily on my Instagram account @stephdillondesign
This year is my first time participating in the global drawing challenge called INKTOBER!
Fact, I haven't been sharing with you all my entries from the official inktober prompt list from the beginning. Even so I still would like to show you some of them anyway :) So here it is my interpretation on the prompt 'RADIO' Enjoy :)
I'm traveling through England ans Scotland for the next two weeks, and of course that meant I had to start a new travel sketchbook! I found it fitting that the first page shows the route I will be on.
My first drawing in the new Rebelle 7 by Escape Motions. Go wild with the new metallic paint or turn it down low for a subtle sheen that adds interest to simple paintings.
Alamea is an entertainer, singer and dancer.she is super kind, passionate and selfless.whenever she makes a lot of cash, she donates her profits to needy ghosts.at first she welcomed Al and later on falls in love with him however Al didn't want to be a a relationship with her because he's not prepared which Alamea completely understood.her old design is the design where I colored her dress black,I was really trying to make her look distinctive from Princess Neera,I gave her rubber hose eyes and a pointy nose
My first ballpoint pen person. This was a lot more time consuming than I expected, but I'm glad I hung in there and finally finished it. The reference for the drawing was a Getty Image.
Finally something new and fresh, again it was my first time to draw an animal with fur, which seemed always so difficult thing for me and still is, but now I'm not afraid of it anymore.
First I should tell you where worries come from.
They come from the back of a Hornswagglers thumb.
These Hornswagglers live very deep,
down beneath Gritchuk Falls,
a town far below the earths core in its halls.
The falls that are flowing there a
