My project for a skillshare course I am taking. I am trying to work on developing more textures and drama to my paintings as well as improving on the composition. Colors always have the power to express what one feels. Also flowers are the best way to add emotions to life.

Here are a couple of paintings that compliment the poetry of each other. I used watercolor and a little ink.

The pink flower vine butterfly is inspired by a a mailbox I walked by during my lunch break. These vibrant pink flowers were wrapped around the entire box. I thought 'what a romantic way to receive your mail.'.

Scarlet Flowers

"Robot Manflower." 8x8 ink and watercolor. New discovery: Noodlers 54th Massachusetts Ink (watered down) works incredibly well for painting shadows/value before the watercolor. Watercolor does not disturb that ink! Drawn with a Pilot Custom 743 EF with De Atramentis Document Ink Black.
