I look at way too many carefully decorated spaces on Pinterest, so I painted one of them and then opened up the room to nature. Also a way to experiment with "gouache painting" in Adobe Fresco.

The Seasons. Acrylic Gouache on Wood Skateboard Deck. 7.75” x 32” Finished!

This is an old Formula 3 race car built by Joseph Potts ltd, Lanarkshire, in 1952. They have it in the National Museum of Scotland, where I drew this a couple of weeks ago as a part of Urban Sketchers meetup (as it’s too cold to go outside yet). This is pretty mixed media: pencil, watercolour pencil, white gouache and some acrylic markers. Drawn on spot.

The Seasons. Acrylic Gouache on Wood Skateboard Deck. 7.75” x 32” Almost finished! I’ll be donating this hand-painted skateboard deck to support the Kansas City Artists Coalition’s 37th Annual Benefit Art Auction taking place on February 29, 2020. Watercolour pencils and gouache on A4. I did this today at a Urban Sketchers meet up in the National Museum of Scotland - although, I guess, strictly speaking it does not fulfil the urban sketching requirements :D

This is a quick painting I did in my sketchbook in order to help kickstart me back into painting. It is painted in Arteza brand gouache on Canson watercolor paper. I've gotten into drawing plants lately and I think these ginger plants are a new favorite of mine.
