The other day I saw a photograph of a man in a handmade costume of a frog with a huge pack of cigarettes on his back and holding a cigarette. Then I tried to find it again and I am coming up blank. ⚡Flash Back Friday⚡ Going back to a blackbook doodle from a few years ago. Why am I showing you this? Because graffiti art is, and has been, one of my greatest influences (aside from M.C. Escher). It is an art form I love, and I gain much inspiration from the graffiti scene (legal and illegal). I don’t really show this side of my art to the world, but it is fun for me to create, and it definitely informs my other pieces of work.

Progression image 5 of 6. 11x14 Marker paper, Medium Graphite Pencils (asst. B-5B). Here the drawing started to come together. I used a metal tip to a mechanical pencil and dragged it along the paper to create the highlight effects in her hair. It is effective but irreversible, so I don't do it very often.
