I have avoided social media for a couple of months now as it was making me unproductive, unmotivated and all-round less creative. I miss the community of creative social media so I have made this account to post my art anonymously: good or bad; finished or not; unedited and unfiltered. I hold back a lot when making art and even more so when publishing it. This is an opportunity to change that. This is a quick self-portrait just to force myself into creating anything today.

More ballpoint pen experiments. This was trying to "blend" colors, using ball point pens in a similar way to colored pencils. I found Layering evenly to be pretty difficult, esp with the pens blotching and very very limited burnishing. The interesting thing is that the paper doesn't seem to get "tired" the way it does with pencils. This is just cheap printer card stock.

Most evenings, I watch a couple of news programs streaming on my computer. During that time, I also make it a point to draw a person (usually from an on-line reference photo) with a No.2 yellow pencil (generally Ticonderoga) on whatever paper is handy on my desk. It's good practice and keeps my hands busy. These are some "News Doodles" done this past week.

Here's something I drew in 10 minutes this morning. I was on call waiting for work to start and my anxiety went through the roof. Not sure why, but it did. My friend asked me if this sketch was a sound, what would it be? I said static. That's what things feel like most of the time: all-consuming, loud, abrasive static.

Here's a quick sketch of myself. (The perk of messing up a drawing of yourself is that you can't offend anyone else...)

The challenging thing with just using pen is that I can't paint over a mistake. I usually redo a face more than once. I didn't mean to make their face so stoic, it makes them look like a statue.

This sends a message to all the women out there to keep on shining, keep blooming, growing and slay to whatever you do. I used sakura koi Watercolor, monologue watercolor paper, crystal gold fine tech and Tokyo Finds brushes. Hey Everyone, since i'm new here I thought I break the ice with this little picture I made a couple of Months ago, as the picture suggests, yes I just turned 30. I been trying to get my art round in several websites, not that my work's amazing... Then I stumbled across this site and thought I give it a shot. So this Art pretty much describes myself... my interests, such as what games and films I like. Anyway let's see how this journey pans out!

Sorry I wasn't able to upload for the past few days, I was at a family reunion. Not that anyone gives a darn.

Something really fun that's good for passing time (aside from drawing) is origami.

Is it art? I’m not sure but it took some color coordination. I made this while watching an E-learning video. Goes to show how much I care about the busy work that teachers are assigning.

Crazy butterfly-ish feels

This is a graphite pencil drawing of a hunting hawk somewhat loosely based on a photo. The reference photo is from: Birds of Prey by Paul D. Frost (Paragon Books Ltd 2006) and credited to Martin B Withers/FLPA. I found the book in the Goodwill a couple of month ago and was much inspired by the beautiful photographs.

I was bored out of my mind so I just quickly painted this. I am in fact starting my big project. Its on a wood board that I plan to hang if it all turns out!

The problem with the all-seeing beings was that they complained too much, because they saw too much.

I don’t know, I doodled on my hand and took a photo of it and edited it. I personally think it looks cool but that’s just my opinion. -I have depression, and have been/am a cutter so that explains the words written.

This is a recreate of a picture that I took in San Antonio Texas.

Done for a friend for a new writing idea featuring her character (the baby), and mine - because I haven’t written anything in over a year and was running low on motivation on that front until this. Also, babies are hard to draw

I haven’t done much art recently. This is a little sloppy, but hopefully it’s just that i’m out of practice. I would love any tips, suggestions, or any feedback for that matter.

Does anyone here know what they could be? or what this reminds them of?

I’ve been doing ink doodles somewhat like this since the early 80s but I have to give a shout-out to Visoth Kakvei for greatly influencing my style the last couple of years.
