My apologies for older works, just going through old notebooks and wanted to share this
For all of you just getting started out there, or struggling with motivation, this is a side by side comparison of drawings about 18 months apart, 1 drawing a day. It may not feel like it, but every bit of practice you get a little bit better. Keep it up!
ink on paper; I learned a lot from this and think I can make the next one will be better! I actually considered coloring this but a family member said don't do it! : )
Life has been an absolute hell-hole lately; I often tell myself to cling on; but for what? There will be nothing waiting for me at the end, if I piece things back together. Please do not take any of this seriously. I often can't.
The work was taken by me in Portland, Oregon, USA. In the distance there is a house, a pillar on top of it has a lamp, Looking up at the sky at that time, the sunset sky looked very beautiful. The clumps of clouds drifted with the wind. Beneath the waves crashing against the shore, signaling that the tide has risen, the images in the above work make people always have to worry about the images that look very eye-catching.
These are some simple drawings of characters from the one and only Phantom of the Opera. Based on the movie version. Phantom is another thing on My List of Obsessions. Anyway, I hope you like them!!
this is the shadow i see whenever i go downstairs i think shes my other mother She has black hair and a dress gown on and she would never show her face not even to me either but one day we will stay together forever she says and she has no shadow under her
Here is a painting I made from observation on the top of Mont Bélair in Canada, just before sunset.
I am painting those in a 5x8 very convenient moleskin watercolor book. I previously eyeballed the dimensions of this book at 4x6 when I had no ruler to verify but I was slightly wrong. Now the info is exact. :)
Here's a traditional art sketch card, produced on a 4 X 5 inch blank licensed card. The cut lines are set at 2.5 X 2.3 standard trading card size. Artwork is Copic marker and Prismacolor colored pencil. This card was created as a random insert for the 2018 Rittenhouse Archives Star Trek Captains collection Card series. Take it how you want. You either give everything to social media, or it takes everything from you. In the end, you are left naked and hollow. I wanted to make this a simple composition at its core. The image is more about the message.
Times Square took forever to put together, I think the perspective is off just a bit. Overall, I think I did well with shading and depth. I am also improving on drawing/painting the human form. I wish I could trust in shapes and form and go a bit more abstract, but I think that will come with experience.
Patron Saint of Moths and Knitting.
I do love moths so much. There is so much quiet beauty in them. Just wish they would stay away from my favorite sweaters.

This is a picture of the lady at the cash register who bags produce at the produce store. She let me take her picture and I painted from it. I gave the picture to her but she wishes it had been done before she gained weight. : (
It's easy to forget the importance of our plants. That is until their life depends on it! I think we have one that needs watering, but then again, maybe it's just thirsty because of those potting supplies and fertilizers! Either way - give 'em a drink; they need their plantitas right now more than ever.
WOW, is there really a movie that we have all been waiting for! Spider-man: No Way Home is already on the screens of cinemas. Stock up on popcorn and soda, something really exciting is in store for us!
In the meantime, we have prepared a small gift for the day of the premiere. Zendaya has been a godsend for this franchise! Amazing actress, a wonderful singer, and a gorgeous woman! She can rightfully be called one of the icons of the outgoing year. Looking forward to seeing her in the new movie!
And who is your favorite actor in Spider-man? Feel free to comment below!
Elijah Wood is one of the most talented actors around! We've seen him in Lord Of The Rings, and he's always great, but have you ever noticed any other films with this actor?
I have been feeling art blocked and unmotivated lately, so here's a simple Monika. If you have any tips for getting out of art block, please let me know! :) I really would appreciate it.
Another cat that isn't quite a cat. This one has evolved over billions of years to be able to live underwater, just to be able to hunt their favorite fish better, and more often.
