I've started a fantastic Domestika Course by Ruth Wilshaw: "Painting Atmospheric Landscapes with Gouache."
It's my first attempt at gouache painting. I'm so excited to try this art medium. I've only painted with watercolors so far.

This was a gift for a special colleague who had already worked at my school for more than 20 years. I painted her with gouache and especially her blond hair gave me a headache. I‘ve never worked with this paint before. In the background I used special paper, charcoal and acrylic markers. Inside the card is a poem about her.
One day, in the afternoon she was sitting on that seat with a thin heart. She was feeling watercolor with full brightness hitting her soul slowly. In her heart said, "what was I do? Everything is very simple, just follow the truth about my life. But, I can't do it and back anymore". Happy Feast of Our Lady of Loreto! This is the Holy Family of Loreto or should I say Nazareth. The very house of Nazareth was taken up and brought to Loreto long ago. The walls are so sanctified and even hover an inch above the foundation by some miracle. I'm about to do a retreat there so pray for me! If your ever in Italy you must visit Loreto, the church is amazing! But the main thing is the have Eucharistic Adoration and the Holy House of Nazareth! Our Lady of Loreto and the Holy Family, pray for us!

Child Jesus loves you! Jesus likes every now and then to appear in child form in order to teach us many things and relate with us. To remember to be little and rely on God our father. ^_^ He's levitating and his robe is long so you can't see his lil feet. I made this sketch awhile back but like a lot of things now I decided to color it. Digital color makes things pop!

It's one of Luisa's best buddies: Padre Pio! Now in color! Doesn't seeing Capuchin colors make you feel like having a cappuccino? Just make sure you have your coffee with milk in the morning here in Italy, otherwise you will scandalize all the Italians. lol. What can I say about Padre Pio, well he knew about the Divine Will and Luisa and he had the stigmata and mystical experiences and well he's just one cool dude that don't mess around. lol (I hope this translates well enough for the italians reading this, heh).

I tried to make a campfire setting, with a cozy tent, the warm fire eliminating the night, the trees in the background and of course, the stars the the sky for perfect stargazing. The purpose was to create a scene, where someone would be comfortable, just lying there, enjoying everything.
There's a series, one of many, I've been slowly getting the motivation to work on. This character is one of a few. I'm going to working on facial expressions and then full body drawings.
When I grew up, I found that most of the time I was a supporting role in this world. Then at least in my own world, I'm still me, I'm my own superhero.
This is my own take on Yoai’s mini chibi tutorial for Bonnie. You can find this in her book ‘mini chibi art class: a complete course in drawing cuties & beasties’. I wanted to follow her tutorial but also give my own style while doing so. This was done in procreate.
