hi

This sketchbook spread comes with a free tea review. (I'm also a Sororitea Sister. That's a real thing. Feel free to look it up.) My favorite feature is Edgar Allan Poe in the lower right, though.

I drew a face and another and another and crap -- it's just faces all the way down.

Sometimes I just start throwing lines on top of lines. Today was such a day, fusing, intermingling, and vomiting lines up onto the page. (I originally titled this "Dreams in Digital" but then I was like "no one has heard Orgy's second album but you. Please abandon this late-1990s alt-rock persona. Live in the now.")

Here we have some very fancy European history folks, a creature that might be a dummy, and Harry Potter as a nervous waiter who can't remember if you got diet or regular soda. Because, let's face it, Harry was never THAT good at magic.

This doodle is based off Norman Rockwell’s The Tattoo Artist and pairs with the blog I wrote about how I think our society needs to change the words we use to describe love. ❤️ “ Love is a collaborative work of art.” https://princess2dutchess.wordpress.com/2018/02/04/loneliness/

This is a black-and-white revision of an illustration I made (hand-drawn) for an American Red Cross e-newsletter years ago. The original was in color; however, considering my current work is predominantly black and white, I thought it appropriate to update the illustration for my portfolio. © 2007-2018 Joe Blend. This was a custom piece I did for my friends daughter. I used pen and watercolor.

This guy needs some colors. Maybe someday...

Had to draw this after my husband said it.

This is a simple portrail of a common person, not the appearance of a person, the Innerworkings of a person. Their dark side. We all have a dark side.. Some are just more controlled by it than others.

(2B pencil on a 139mm x 89mm postcard) Another Dreamscape drawing that uses random shading to build up imagery in a surrealist automatism technique.

My aunt had open heart surgery last year. This was done for her.
