A5 size, fine liner, ink and my imagination

Going through a mental health journey, and created this fella. This is not the complete image, he will have bat wings and devil horns. I just hit a small wall with some of the layers. But I will have the picture complete when I can. I finally started drawing again after weeks of depression. So excited to see where this fella goes.

I named him Fido. He took exception and ate me! Now this grouchy dragon is perched on his favorite outcrop.

One of my Swirly Designs, illustrated with different tools such as Graphite, Aquarelle, Ink Pens and Ai & Tablet. Sometimes sheer Vectorillustration/design. . Urh.-Nr:1811955 . Copyright  by Carolina Matthes

One more day

I need to work on blending more.

It's chex mix full of Salty snacks on different color backgrounds. I was practicing color theory.

Day 11 Eagle I immediately thought of birdgirl from @adultswim when i heard this word i was really surprised when the show got a second season b/c adultswim tends to have one season or half season shows on its network.

Oil on paper - 13 x 17cm

One of my favourite attempts at a portrait - painted in gouache

During the lockdown I'm doing a series of cat portraits for Gatti di Roma in Rome. I've auctioned this and all proceeds went to the charity.

I know i fucked up with colors and background, but I will try to draw it another way... maybe )))

Today I’m tackling the elusive Tully Monster as a drawing subject! “It might be either a wormy type thing or a molluscy-like thing but for the most part, comprehensive taxonomies placed the monster in the animal kingdom untethered to any particular phylum, making it essentially unclassifiable. The perplexing nature of these fossils earned them the parochial nickname ‘Tully Monster’.”

Keeping it surrealistically real with more narwhals!

Day off in something like Kyoto… to paraphrase a Phoebe Bridgers song.

Never enough narwhals, is there?

The Yellow-Tail Black Cockatoo

Something is brewing in my head and I can't get it to stop. Sooooo, I'm thinking a supernatural feel similar to Gravity Falls. I'm not sure where these two are going, but we doing something.

I'm uploading the two pages backwards so when they are all uploaded you can see them left to right. But this is page two. I worked on this at at training the other day, training days make for great art doodle days. If you want to see more I do have a tumblr account.

My biggest inspirations are Tim Burton and Johnen Vasquez. It was refreshing to do something like this for a change. I had lots of fun with it.
