From Sketch to Final Water Coloring Stages, this is a spread from Tide Day! A lot goes into making a good composition, taking into account the center of the image where the binding is, and how to play with size and negative space. One of my favorite things to do is explore contrasting expressions between characters and highlight their emotions through physical stances and expressions. This was a tough challenge with the lack of limbs and the watery context, but Pearl's stubbornness and attitude shines through!

There's a moment in Black Panther where Michael B Jordan's character steals an African mask from a museum. When the other character with him asks why, he says "I'm just feelin' it." The mask he grabbed was VERY cool, and I kind of wanted one, too. But, short of stealing things out of museums, I guess I'll have to draw them. Currently exploring image making with fountain pens: immediate mark making, no pencil, no eraser. I'm enjoying the discovery process and embracing the stray mark made with semi-blind contour and continuous line drawings.

This is my first image I'm going to post on here. It is nothing like most of the other art on here, but I hope that's fine. I was on vacation and just decided to do something with a black background.

I headed over to the Devonian Square, near the Ryerson Image Centre, to sketch the Devonian Pond, also known as Lake Devo. It turns out that the images are part of a temporary art installation by artist Lori Blondeau regarding Indigenous identity.

Recently sold this 6" x 8" drawing I call Formerly Hidden. Images that were formerly hidden in my brain now are exposed for all to see.

Street Style Helsinki. When I went to the city by bus 65, this lovely redhead sat opposite to me. Divine red hair flows under the good mood hat with small cute ears. What more? You can image the rest in your mind.

It is Alice from Alice in Wonderland. You don't need bio, do you? This is actually my sketch for a photoshoot. You can see the image with the link in my bio :)

(Black biro on a 75mm x 125mm notecard) A juxtaposed image of a comic book type image with an unrelated speech caption. The type of thing you tend to hear from those on their mobile phones on buses.

(2B pencil on a 87mm x 139mm postcard) X-ray specs were an iconic mail order item in comics. It was one of the first things that kids bought that introduced them to the world of dubious adverts. I kept the image here simple, like the original advert.
