Definitely doodling---This is my first mandela and it ranged from great fun to great frustration. It ended up a little "waby swaby," but I suppose that's in keeping. It's 12 inches across with 32 points. Drawn with a micron pen, then colored in markers (in whatever colors I happened to have) and has colored pencil shadows. I scanned it into PhotoShop and played with altering colors. Made a green one for my green-crazy friend and a subdued desaturated one for myself. It's quite printable on my oversized color laser printer---so ill be a fun "social distancing" poster gift for my friends. Each one with a personal color range.

I remember that I was angry when I drew this fella last year all because I wanted to stay home before new years so it could be vent art i guess?not certain why I even wrote dreaded when it was supposed to be "damn prince"oh well

I have been wanting to explore the concept of creating a Vitruvian Women. Also felt like I struggled with the composition of the Reflect piece (which I am working on developing a series). Hence trying to learn from the best - in a scientific way:)

So you remember a couple days ago, when I made that paper doll, and I said I'd post a picture of her in her clothes? Yeah, well, I lied. I made a new OC, and I was just too excited not to post them. Their name is Kawehi (which you might have already guessed from the title) and I would have drawn their dragon, Silver, with them, but I unfortunately can't draw dragons. I drew and inked them on paper and then colored them digitally, since I have a pitifully small selection of markers.

A steam titan from the elder age, long forgotten. But this mammoth of gears and levers has not fogotten it's purpose. It delves through stone, and rock and mineral and earth. It hasn't stopped since the master's last order. The very nature of this machine is loyalty itself. Sometimes the scavengers follow it, picking up the remains it leaves behind in its search. What is it searching for? The center of the Earth? Nirvana? Hell for us ? Many a strange thing lay in the world of Nornwan. Was it always so? Mayhaps... In the process of developing the next "Bird, tree, card" painting. Building off the root sketch and incorporating a harpy eagle. Which heard of but never really "looked at before... and wow. They are beautiful, huge and so odd.

The Dark. How are other people finding time to draw with the schools closed and your four year old on top of you 24/7? There's a story by Lemony Snicket called The Dark. I really enjoyed making the closet shadow, so there you go. This actually started with my raincoat beckoning to me for many days.

Now that I am stuck at home and practicing social distancing, I finally drew on the postcard I've held onto since joining Doodlers' Anonymous A WHILE ago. :)

✨My plan this month was to celebrate women, among them Princess Leia / Carrie Fisher. A leader and fighter against the Empire's tyranny. If this was today she'd be a health professional, or hygiene professional (cleaners), or food retailer worker or security professional. May the force be with you.
