A SofaDoodle

I keep a sketchbook by my sofa and usually draw something every day. I don’t know why this is uploading sideways and I don’t know how to correct it. I guess it really doesn’t matter since it is an abstract. Of course, the brick wall looks a little weird.

Death be damned

I haven’t been that active here so, rather than waiting a day to post each of my new works, I’m going to just stick with my latest. And this isn’t exactly an oc, but I could draw him again in the future. I also don’t have a name for him yet, so you can write a suggestion in the comments. I drew this since I’m kinda facing a dilemma and sketching helps me clear my mind and think.

Hybrid Mythologies, sketchbook explorations

I have had an ongoing project called Hybrid Mythologies. Inspired by stories and mythological creatures, tales from different traditions and parts of the world, I have been playing with emergent stories, characters and creatures that incorporate different elements. It is really a kind of spontaneous, intuitive journey and play of associations - oftentimes surprising to myself in what emerges. This year I am planning to publish an artbook entitled Hybrid Mythologies and if it all goes according to plan, it should be done some time in May. I will post process from this book.

Mortician, a wonderful and useful being, a fantastic story with an artwork, outsider illustration

my new work! - Here he is, he comes! - Pepe Fajgl said, pointing at the top of the hill. The environment was typical for the territory of a mortician: valleys overgrown with low grass, and with some high ground. Pepe Fajgl and I left the corpse Henri de Functa at the foot of the hills and watched the Mortician as it approaches the dead body at a uniform speed, his beautiful eyes were fixed to the deceased. "It's wonderful," I said to Pepe, - it is certainly longer than 20 meters. - The Morticians are the beings that all the inhabitants of the World of Fantasies respect and love, since they have appeared, the precious earth is no longer polluting with graves and cemeteries, number of burning corpses and then a terrible smell almost came to zero, pollution of the lake and the sea throwing the dead into the water stopped. After Mrs. Death takes life and the soul went away in the wheel of the final verdict, it remains only material, dead, a bit valuable part once alive being, the meat that becomes a problem for family and community. Mortician comes to the dead body of the late Henri, its enormous mouth silently sucked corpse, he turned, and dignity went behind the elevation, the problem was solved forever. A 3 format

Bearskull pine
1/4

In the Finnish mythology killing of a bear was followed by a great feast in honour of the bear (peijaiset), where a substantial part of the celebrations consisted of convincing the bear's spirit that it had died accidentally and hadn't been murdered. Afterwards, the bear's skull was hung high upon a pine tree so its spirit could re-enter the heavens. The bones of the bear were then buried under the pine. Reference for this work is my old drawing of karhunkallopetäjä/bearskullpine in the Riisitunturi. Also practice sketch of bear skull and at last photo i took of pine.

Halo Infinite Hype Art

It’s a work in progress, I haven’t started on shadowing yet. The armor overall is Mark V, but the helmet is Mark IV. Inspiration for this came from how 343 mentioned Halo Infinite will be taking a lot of stuff from Halo Combat Evolved, which has been my favorite. With a little anime mixed in as the face. My favorite part about this so far is the whole ‘exploration/unknown’ aspect, since Halo CE levels were pretty big and fun to look around. And the landscapes especially inspired this, showing just how much is out there.

The great desire to explore the state of the disease, he began his patients exposed to hazardous situations contagion and infection. Curious and eager for knowledge about the most serious illnesses, supported and developed the existing disease in their patients. He did not hesitate to post the wrong diagnosis, prescribing the drugs that have not been treat difficult health situation, on the contrary, they encouraged further development of the disease. After several years, he was arrested and charged with numerous deaths. Very indignant, told the court that great scientists have never been properly accepted by a society full of prejudices and petty soul.

Sketchbook day 7

Rad experience joining a local drawing group for the first time yesterday although I didn't realise how inconvenient my backpack was going to be, it made me slow to set up / pack up and a few of us had to organise a locker at the gallery as we didn't know backpacks weren't allowed so I spent most of today sewing a bag/sketchbook cover which fits an A4 sketchbook, pencils, id and phone and also has some backing in it so I can easily sketch on my lap without dropping my stuff all over the place. I'm going to do a bit more work on my weird comic book page tonight but in the mean time this is my sea serpent digitally coloured, he lives at Apollo Bay and likes to sleep camouflaged amongst the lifesaver rings.

Ruth Ellis

Graphite drawing of Ruth Ellis. She was the last woman in Britain to be hanged, in the 1950s. British justice was no where near as sophisticated then, as it is now. I am convinced that the overwhelming mitigating circumstances would have saved her life. Her confession was never examined or questioned. Today she would have received a manslaughter charge at most. Such a tragedy.
