Pen and Ink; sepia

There's a moment in Black Panther where Michael B Jordan's character steals an African mask from a museum. When the other character with him asks why, he says "I'm just feelin' it." The mask he grabbed was VERY cool, and I kind of wanted one, too. But, short of stealing things out of museums, I guess I'll have to draw them. I messed up a face (just to the left of the spine), and then painted over it into a... unholy horror. I don't want to mess with that thing.

Facial hair is a fun challenge to draw, as are bats. Most bats are really, really freaky-looking, which I am 100% into.

I drew some dogs on commission for a friend (the simpler Corgis), then wound up messing around after I'd scanned them. Dogs dogs dogs. As far as the snout can sniff.

An abstract doodle that creates space for a heart

Playing with some experimental media while drawing from life with my students last spring. Gearing up for new sessions in a couple weeks.

I took a doodle and sort of turned it into a mandala. I did my best, and I think that counts for something.
