I have had an ongoing project called Hybrid Mythologies. Inspired by stories and mythological creatures, tales from different traditions and parts of the world, I have been playing with emergent stories, characters and creatures that incorporate different elements. It is really a kind of spontaneous, intuitive journey and play of associations - oftentimes surprising to myself in what emerges. This year I am planning to publish an artbook entitled Hybrid Mythologies and if it all goes according to plan, it should be done some time in May. I will post process from this book.
I created this card for someone to bring to a Law of Attraction event. I drew the flowers on textured paper, came up with the phrase, and then set the type. I am a professional Healer so this phrase is powerful advice I give to others in my practice.
Illustrated this for my Resume, summing up my Identity in a doodle. The things that fuel me as an artist and as a creator, my journey as a Seeker and Explorer.
The (i think) 12th and final butterfly for the Literal Butterflies Project. Wow! thats a lotta flutterflies. This one was certainly tedious with such elaborate markings, she wasn't easy! ... That said, none of them were. With such beauty, and intricate wing pattern and design, butterflies are a very difficult subject to work with. Day 1: yourself. This is my personal project #DoodleWithRin365 that I am working now. It is a journey of self development in creativity and encourage myself to explore as many things as possible. I have focused a lot in detailed architecture last 2 years and really enjoyed those crazy detail lines. This year, I would like to explore something different. In this project, I decide on those themes by myself which will be included things I like and also things that I have never tried before but would like to know more. Back to my works here, I used Pilot new brush pen to completed the outline on my sketchbook and the wording with tablet. For second version, I used my real lipstick for lips :)
The first of what became a "wheelchair series" I've been building as an attempt at healing since my paralysis. Learning to adjust and grow to appreciate and eventually love this new body continues to be a journey and doodling has proven (for me) to be an
About a year ago I became paralyzed after a fall and began my "wheelchair series" which became a cathartic release of my journey in this new body of mine. Also, crayons are seriously underrated.

(2B pencil on a 195mm x 123mm book title page) The first of five in this project. I chose the Harry Potter book because it tells the usual religious "hero's journey" story, of a boy born for another life that sees outsiders as something different.
