Squirtle: no more no less. Actually more about it, my lighting is bad, aka the yellow tint. Also color picking is really hard, and i might have to do a bit more outlining to the piece to make it look cohesive. But overall the composition is balanced i think, even if i slacked off with the execution a bit towards the end

On t-4 days before the shelter in place order came down, I went to the library and checked out a bunch of books for my son just in case the libraries closed (the libraries closed the next day). Two of them are on tsunamis, which my son is obsessed with. We were reading them this morning, and they put Bali on my mind. This voice kept singing, "jungle, jungle, more jungle!" while I was drawing this.
Second post here on Doodle Addict. I don't know why but this reminds me of Spirited away....or just studio Ghibli. All their art just makes me feel like i'm actually in that place; i can feel the breeze, hear and feel the grass.....Anyways, that's the image i get in my head when making this. This species is also recorded in trade in West and Central Africa as this species is used for both traditional medicines and also they are intentionally killed for use in witchcraft. This species is part of the Accipitridae bird family, which diverged from all other species of bird 49.6 million years ago during the Paleogene period. Vultures split from the other genera in this family 12.7 million years ago. This species is highly sensitive to land-use and is concentrated to protected areas. Individuals were marked with patagial (wing) tags in Fouta Djallon vulture sanctuary to monitor movements and for a toxicological assessment of the vulture population of the park. Additional studies to monitor the movements of individuals within and between protected areas in underway is South Africa.
