Finding out why I wasn't able to properly draw something like this readily in pencil... This sort of styling is better represented in less-detailed styles such as paint, or even using just a marker. Pencils are highly detail-oriented, and... this is the "essence" that I have been trying to present behind the pencil medium...

Continuing my insect series. This yellow jacket was drawn with Micron pens and water-based markers. I used graphite for the shadow and a Gelly Roll pen for highlights.

It shines! Doodle inspired from Pinterest, from The Calm Creator. Drawing done in Sakura Pen-Touch Black and Silver C paint marker + Uni Pin Fineliner 0.2 black pen. I'll continue looking for inspiration!
I just discovered Chartpak markers and am in love; they are truly awesome to work with. The colors are so rich and never streaky. So if you didn't guess, this was done using Chartpaks and a Gelly Roll Glaze Black pen.
