Some drawings from a figure drawing meetup. The model had some very interesting poses ;). I used a Pendel brushpen for the drawings.

This model was muscular and handsome. Not sure I got that right in the drawing. I could not fit the feet and had to draw the hair in the margin.

This is the very first charcoal portrait I ever made. I think I spent about 25 hours on this piece over the course of a week. Portrait Model is a Japanese singer (Gackt) and a reference photo was used. Size is 18x24 inches.

Inspired by the Neo-Classical period, I pushed myself as an artist to portray subjects in an idealistic fashion combining drama and artificial lighting. The subject is my sister who modelled as a reference, enabling me to control the shadowy effect over her face. The dim lighting and dark background resonated with the period style, focusing on the facial parts that are visible. The end result looks like she is emerging from the darkness. A somber atmosphere is illustrated through visual expression. Adding the fast drying oil on the brushes improved the blending of the colours on the canvas which was especially useful when it came to applying strokes on the face smoothly. Sometime last year when I went to my village after a while, some of the buildings I saw were now modern, they no more use mud bricks to build. What I saw was like the mud houses are giving way for the sky scrapers.

An original character of mine. November 2018. Her name is Jinx Muun. A modern day witch, born on the 1st full Moon, on Friday the 13th. She is a feisty, independent and strong young woman. Her powers come out most during a full moon, where her skin takes on a lilac color and her eyes shift colors as well.

I was just in the mood one day and decided to combine several aspects of Norwegian culture and modern insights on the Vikings. Here she is! Saga Brunwolf! It’s a little silly I know.

This is from an assignment to make a drawing from three words. My words were teabag, Hazmat, and cocoa. The friends are sitting inside a flow-through tea bag. Giants make tea out of herbs toxic to humans. Thus the need for the suit, and for drinking cocoa instead of the poisonous tea. But when you have good friends like giants or humans, you make accommodations.
