Whenever i hear the word 'graphic' on the news, my mind goes to art rather than the abrupt visual they feel needs a warning [Which i guess is a courtesy for some folks who just might not be able to handle such a site & prefer to look away.] Well, luckily, I'm not Pollyanna about this... As a creative, it is nearly impossible to hear that word 'graphic' & not flex my creative muscle & treat it w an alternative visual thot... 24/6! [I take Sundays off.] I was never fortunate enuf to attend college or to study graphic arts. But I actually think that this is a skill & craft of immense talent. To create aesthetic colors & shapes & beauty & what seems like using the most simplistic of techniques yet w the greatest of impact is simply mesmerizing to me. Why that color? Why that shape? & yet... it works!!!! So here is my attempt to simulate such a masterful profession but w a bit of humor.
Various days for Inktober 2020. Coral, dizzy, and rip and dig. I had fun detailing different monsters. Dizzy is a cross between a siren and wraith, rip and dig can survive in extreme climates and hide underground for years until it's time to Fred. Dream, a work for me, by me. Lately I had to endure some feelings of loneliness, the feeling of being powerless and just caught up in a system that is colliding with how I am wired. When it would get a bit much, when I felt I needed a small break, I would just go outside alone, get some of my favourite music going, I would enjoy the view and when I would come back, being grateful to be alive and what I do have in life, because we tend to forget that too often.

A heavy WIP of my illustration based on the Broadway musical "HEATHERS" song, "Meant To Be Yours." When it comes to digital art, everything I've done has all been self taught. I began this piece when I first began on my I-pad and am still at it till I can make this piece what I envision it to be. I learned a lot of shadowing and effects on this piece, and I can't wait to complete it! What do you think thus far?
