Only my second time tackling the lusca as a drawing subject… hopefully it checks out!
“The Lusca is a legendary sea monster from Caribbean folklore, primarily said to inhabit the underwater caves and blue holes near Andros Island in the Bahamas. Described as a massive hybrid—often half-shark, half-octopus—or a giant squid/octopus, it is rumored to reach lengths up to 75–200 feet.”
A whimsical unicorn rides a waffle ice cream cone, leaving a colorful rainbow mane trail. Its playful posture adds charm comunicating freedom, happyiness and joy.
A fantastical bullwhale creature with a mix of whale and bull features glides through a vibrant, swirling, blue and orange hues body of water. The colors blend in a mosaic style, enhancing the creature's mythical presence with a composition that creates a sense of movement and depth, capturing an imaginative underwater scene.
I came upon this startling image on the grounds of Ringling Art Museum in Sarasota. Amazing to suddenly see an image of a mythical person looking at you from inside a tree.

Another mythical animal created in Procreate. Repurposed a palm tree from an earlier piece. It is overworked and I grew tired tinkering with it. Might be in the book I have been encouraged to produce.

I forgot that this prompt was for last week, but I figured I'd upload this anyway. It's definitely a simple drawing; I think it turned out pretty okay. I rarely use markers and I don't usually draw mythical creatures/aliens, so this was pretty interesting to do.
