I have been wanting to explore the concept of creating a Vitruvian Women. Also felt like I struggled with the composition of the Reflect piece (which I am working on developing a series). Hence trying to learn from the best - in a scientific way:)
green predator took the original piece and used polaroid digital effect. DONE 2023 with color pencils on 11x17 bristol. original for sale $250. After I did private commission of the predator for customer (by the way it is in my gallery) . I did not like how that turned out so i got pissed so i created another version of my predator . I feel this came out better now i can be sane. I know it's not a great drawing at least the colors are sort of nice (I love crayola twistables) I unfortunately can't draw this digitally at the moment.the black cheek marks are actually it's eyes.
This was my first try using paint pens. Played around with shapes to get used to the texture of the paint and how it feels to use the pens. Done in a watercolour sketchbook.
“Claire!” Elle woke up with her daughter’s name on her lips. Startled, she sat up and looked around the living room with her heart still beating loudly in her chest. A dream, she realized dazedly.
Slowly, she crossed the way to the back door. With unseeing eyes she gazed out into the garden.
She remembered waking up in the hospital six years ago and seeing her husband sitting next to her. She remembered how he took her hand into his and looked at her with eyes full of despair. He told her that the doctor thought Claire might not survive. That she might die before she was even born, die before she had a chance to look into her mum’s eyes, feel a kiss on her forehead, clench her little fist around her dad’s finger, hear them speaking to her without a belly barrier between them… It was a silent, terrible death. It was the death of someone so precious, so innocent, so tiny…
Elle took a shuddering breath.
