Okay, I may have paraphrased the quote unintentionally when I was drawing this but it still checks out, hopefully…! “Say what you mean, because communication is a sure path to personal happiness. But don’t say it mean, because causing pain for others will never heal your own.” - Kay Medaglia.

The Game of Life

Title: The Game Medium: Acrylic Paint on canvas. Size:24” W x 36” H x1” D Year Completed:2026 The first conceptual design for this painting is an ink rendering entitled: The Window of The Soul. The inspiration behind the design is the concept that Christians are supposed to be windows that God’s light can shine through. But the Christian sin nature can block that light from filling a room. The same way window drapes do. In the design the soul is represented as the inside of a house. The stair going down represent Hell. The stair going up to the second floor represent Heaven. The stairs going up to the second floor have no railings, this show that the assentation of the stairs must be made by faith. The Stairs leading down to the basement has a protective railing around it, representing that God is not willing that anyone should perish, but to repent from sin. The Trinity of God is represented by the cultic three Leif flower that is part of the railing that surrounds the subsurface stair well. The second inner railings represent man-controlled descent. No one fall accidently into Hell. People move closer to Hell with every action of rejection toward God they make. The world globe represents, all humanity needs to decide who they are living for. There is no neutral ground. The checked board floor pattern illustrates this reality, the black spaces with the upside-down heart points to Hell. While the white space with the upright heart point to Heaven. The open door with Jesus standing on the outside, represents the need for a savior. Humanity is separated from the direct presence of God, due to their sin nature. God can not stand the presence of anarchy, when Lucifer leaded an armed revolt against God’s Lordships, after he and third of the angel lost the battle, God created Hell , a place of internal punishment, where the enemies of God will dwell. God had warned humanity, that the day they disobey God, they will surely die. So out of compassion God sent His Son to fulfill the righteousness required by God’s Holiness. Jesus lived a life 33 years without sinning, even though He was temped as we are tempted. God’s son was then treated like a criminal, beaten with in an inch of His life, then took the place on the cross as a substitute for a murder and thief named Barabbas. God poured out His wrath on His son, so through faith the unrighteous can be forgiven and made righteous. By putting their faith in God’s savior, and turning from their old rebellious living, and walking in the newness of His Holly Spirit. The second floor is supposed to represent the entrance to the kingdom of Heaven. The lion’s heads in the wallpaper proclaim that Jesus who came the first time as a sacrificial lamb, is now coming as the conquering lion. The open door with the cross on it is the entrance to Heaven. The railing on the second floor with the fish standing on their tail with a cross in the mild of them represent the support of the body of Christ during the Earthly journey toward Heaven. Temptation of the world are represented by the Victorian wooden staircase and fancy rug, the roman columns. The Greek saying on the headier: Eat, Drink, he merry, for tomorrow we die. Stephen J. flying

I started by thinking up the most awful things I could, which wasn't particularly difficult. When I had made things as awful as possible I took a run and bounced off the floor and flew away from everything, leaving it all behind me in a deep well. Down there the whole town was burning. Down there Poppolino was padding around in the studio in the dark screaming with loneli-ness. Down there sat the crow saying: it was your fault that I died. And the Unmentionable Thing crawled under the mat. But I just went on flying. - Sculptor's Daughter by Tove Jansson #dailydrawing #tovejansson

Day 2 - My DnD cDay tharacters dad...

Day two of my art training! It took way too long, haha. So, anyways, this is my DnD character, Pox's, dad. I have no idea what to name him because lately, I have been very uncreative. Anyways! This guy is the god of illness and poison, and is just generally really cool. I like him, even if I don't like this drawing all too much.

Orangutan sketch

Orangutan sketch (Original Dimensions: 3000x3000px x 300DPI) to try out my new iPad Air M2 13 using both iArtbook Pro and Artstudio Pro artist apps. This iPad is awesome for power and quickness. Here are three main facts about adult male orangutans: 1. **Physical Characteristics**: Adult male orangutans are significantly larger than females, with an average height of about 1.2-1.5 meters (4-5 feet) and weighing around 50-100 kg (110-220 lbs). They develop distinctive physical features such as large cheek flanges (fleshy pads) and a throat pouch, which they use to produce long calls to communicate across the dense forests. 2. **Solitary Lifestyle**: Unlike many primates, male orangutans are solitary creatures. They spend most of their lives alone, except during brief periods of mating. This solitary behaviour reduces competition for food and other resources. The males will range widely and have large territories that often overlap with the ranges of several females. 3. **Long Call**: Adult male orangutans have a unique and powerful long call that can be heard over great distances. This call is used to establish territory and attract females. The call consists of a series of roars, grunts, and bellows, and it serves to warn other males of their presence, helping to maintain social hierarchy and reduce conflicts.

Its what its.

What a wonderful Kirkus review! (Paired here with my favorite improper contraction.) "A thoughtful look at life, in all its beauty and strangeness. ... This delightfully deadpan musing on life urges compassion for others. Howden’s straightforward text is on the philosophical side, though also rooted in the absurd. Hahn’s spare black graphite pencil watercolor, mostly set against a white background, are imbued with humor and empathy for the pickle, with the foodstuff’s expressive eyes conveying many emotions at once. Creative Touch logo

Well friends just got done creating my new logo to represent my ministry. The design incorporates symbols that represent both writing poetry, commentaries, short humorous stories. This is represented by the quill pen. My fine art, commercial art represented by the painter's palette, and illustrative tools. The colors running to the center of the palette to from the cross, represent my Christian ministry. Going to FedExs to have business cards made. Planning to use this logo for my art fair booth

#28 A collection of ballpoint pen sketches scanned

#28 - A collection of ballpoint pen sketches drawn on printer paper & scanned. This is what my lines look like when I'm not using a stabilizer in digital software to get the nicest clean lines. I tried to separate my scanned lines from the various shades of off-white that the scanner picked up. I adjusted the brightness and contrast levels in photoshop but I'm not very knowledgeable on how to achieve the best results.

#25 Christmas Art Contest 2023

#25 Christmas Art Contest - I'm pretty sure I drew this in 2023 if I'm not mistaken. It was for a Christmas art contest at magma.com and drawn directly on their website using an iPad pro. And well, although I met all the requirements I didn't place in the top four. The rules stated that we had to pair up with another member from the website art community to draw a Christmas themed picture relating to anything from our childhood. What you see is only half the picture. My project-partner Andy added his portion to the collaboration, but I removed his pen strokes just for my website. That's why on the right side of the picture the Christmas tree and edge appear unfinished. This image is huge, like 5000 pixels. This website will resize the image losing details, but if you would like to zoom-in to a higher resolution, try this link to get a closer look.
