And they say that the elves in the Wilderness had no names for their gods , perhaps that is why they have all been forgotten .
They did not call them gods , the elves liked to call them "spirits" .
The unknowable primal forces granted them abilities .
They could implore the trees for aid .
And call upon mighty winds to defend them .
And ask the rivers and rain for healing and comfort .
And in return, they tended the garden of the great spirits , ever watchful and protective of the many lifeforms that lived within the great circle.
We are all part of the great circle, the only way to escape it is to cut yourself off form everyone and everything , it is a hard path ... . . . . thank you

Medusa has always been one of my favorite mythology figures . And ... well, here comes the rant , I'll never quite forgive Athena for making her like this . Ironically, I've only really seen Medusa in her monster form , and this form , in all its unique fierceness , is what I've always been attracted to . I know I'll probably get a lot pf flack for this ... so I'll just quit while I'm ahead . Enjoy the cute pic .
I've been gone from this site for too long, but it's because I've been making environmental posters! This one is to raise awareness against weedkillers. Glyphosate, the active ingredient in Round-Up and many others, is now considered a probable cancer-causing agent, so let's not use it! There's an equally effective recipe at the bottom of the poster.

first attempt at drawing the back of an character,it was easy since Lime Verde is circular.Major Lime Verde is an old but competent fruit who has successfully stopped drug and arms smuggling in most parts of the city,even crime which of course angers many kingpins.shortly after his 2nd term he gets in a freak accident caused by Paxton Pomegranate (a crook who has ties with a drug lord)for firing him.Paxton soon finds and contracts a replacement.a fitness trainer who happens to be a himbo along with his ditzy although smarter girlfriend.Verde soons finds himself helpless and amnesiac.
Im Kurt and new to Doodle Addicts. Loneliness and anxiety dominate my life and are reoccurring themes in my art. It wasn't until recently, after countless jobs, countless attempts, and thousands of dollars in school debt, that I realized it is what it is. August 11th, 2014. The day it all stopped, but the little spark of madness never actually disappeared. I find it funny how I'm fascinated with trying to look into other's minds when I can't even figure out my own.
Not nice. Not happy. An unhappy ending to an unhappy and struggling world. we tried . Now we have been given Illoniri, we start over, and this time the people are different, not just human, but elves and orcs, and people made of candy . Hope starts when we give up hopelessness and embrace new. Don't ask yourself which of these last people you may be . Just ask yourself if you want a better world than this. It really isn't about becoming someone, but finding out who you really are. Bloom .

I have given my students the problem of creating 100 self portraits in 20 days on 5x7 in paper. The challenge is to create something other than an image that depicts a 'dead-pan' stare. When the brain is given a problem, it goes to work immediartely to solve that problem. I have seen some wonderful solutions. This is a tall order for teens who are sensative to judgment and still developing in thier perception. It has generated wonderful discussions of self-awareness, world view, and judgment. Those who engage in the exercise in an authentic manner have only good things to say about the experience. It is not an exercise for everyone. We are on a journey. Be Bold! Be Honest! In July of 2022, Brianna Grier died falling out of a moving police car while having a mental health breakdown. Since Brianna passed, I have been heartbroken for her twins and family but also reflecting on my struggle with mental health. Mental health needs compassion and empathy, not police and punishment. The brunch strokes are purposeful, but I completed them with empathy in mind. I want to keep the composition simple but filled with meaning. The color theme represents vastness and loneliness, but also kinetic energy found in warm orange tones.
