Acrylic on Canvas --- I´m working on this 3 Demons at the moment. I saw many Trees dying in our forest, so i dicided to paint this 3 Forest Demons. I will upload the done paintings on Facebook.
I graduated from school with a degree in Bachelor of Science is what my teachers told me is a good enough degree to get hired in the art world but I don't know what in the art world I want to do. It took me six-years to get a four-year degree and eight years after graduating from high-school to figure out what I want to do with my life. I want to be a freelance artist creating my own work and doing commissions for others but even with my degree the level that I am at now is not good enough to sell neither am I at the level I want to be at. So.... I am taking the rest of my twenties to get at that level starting at ground zero and learning the basics from this website I found www.drawabox.com. This image is one of the exercises I'm doing. I have seen some amazing artists here and would love to learn from all of you so if you have any feedback on my work or would like to have a conversation between artists please don't hesitate to send me a message. This very small sketch/doodle, enlarged, inspired a six foot tall painting. The background on the painting is incomplete. I'm back at this work in progress based on this small image from a sketchsheet. This painting will appear at my solo show in Thunder Bay in a couple years.
I just got a drawing tablet this is the first thing I drew on it. I wanted to share it to show the progress I make in the future. It feels a lot different from drawing on paper. I clearly have a lot of improving to do.
Blocked out values and form for a work in progress. I haven't drawn or painted in a while, so critiques are welcome before I dive in further with this. Ultimately, I'm looking to incorporate a quote on meditation with the finished piece.
Anyone remember the old hobbit/lord of the rings cartoons? The piece covers the struggle that the LGBTQ+ community had to face over the last few centuries to get to the point where we are today - and although it isn't perfect yet, a lot of progress has been made. The articles in the background all reflect key moments in this progression including Stonewall. The two male peacocks - evident through their colourful feathers - represent the community as it stands today and is a representative of the progress made.
