Industrial Art Project

What was created? A concept exerciser (aka: homemade workout machine) made mostly out of wood components, that was a contraption full of hinges, pulleys, weights, and grips (see pin 1). With my system, a person could perform both the butterfly and lat pull down exercises and transition between them with minimal effort. The unit stood about 8 feet tall and was about 6 ft wide when the butterfly arms were connected to it. Why was it created? I have always been fascinated with weight training machine design. I had a bench press weight set at home that did not come with a butterfly attachment, so I decided to make one of my own. I was able to get a steady supply of material (scrap wood) from a local source and constructed a workout routine by stacking columns of weight (instead of accumulating weight plates) in a moving grid generating even or uneven resistance (see pin 3). I also consider what I made could be a benefit to others since it does: (1) represent an extension of DIY culture (i.e. advancing individual knowledge, learning new skills, and the feeling of satisfaction that comes from building from your own ideas), (2) how to apply simple machine principles (i.e. pulleys, leverage, changing the direction or amount of force, etc.) in making a project and, (3) promote woodworking (which allows a person to be creative and is a wonderful medium for artistic expression). What makes it special? What makes my work distinctive concerns the butterfly arms and the weight container. Butterfly Attachment The butterfly attachment arms can be quick disconnected and re-mounted easily. The jackknife motion that the butterfly arms travel in as they flex forward and return to their starting position is an original conception. Weight Grid (see pin 3) Unlike traditional stacked weight plate machines, a person is allowed to make a variety of pattern configurations on the grid (X,□, /,\, —, etc.) by using cup shaped ballast inserts (up to 24) that changes the amount of force a user exerts for each repetition (see figure 2). An individual can position the weights in organized horizontal/vertical patterns or treat them more as random objects in the load basket. In their current form my system’s weight supplements are ½ pound each (about 2 ¾ inches long and 1 14/16 inches in diameter): making them easy to manage. If solid roll stock were used in their construction, they would be estimated to weigh 2 ½ to 2 ¾ pounds (see pin 2). When not in use, weights can be placed in the grid case for compact storage. As a point of fact, the sight holes cut into the drop tubes were drilled by hand with a fixture and not with the use of a drill press. At one point, I contemplated that one could focus on certain muscle groups in the upper body by placing inserts on the weight grid in particular patterns (X,□, /,\, —, etc.). This may have been beneficial for those in need of rehabilitation (through segregation of muscle areas that needed treatment) in such disciplines as Kinesiology or Physical Therapy. What was learned creating it? I learned how much ideas on paper can change drastically when fabricated physically. I learned how challenging it was to develop removable butterfly arms that hang and pivot in mid air. The exerciser’s weight box glides up and down on a vertical guide. I researched various ways of how to make that move while keeping the friction between the connectors on the weight box and the track surface it to a minimum. This was in order to make the climb and drop motion as fluid and controlled as possible. I considered using various sprays, waxes, greases, lacquers, covers, wheels, and even ball bearings to accomplish that. I ended up sanding the inside of the track extensively and then mounted small furniture mover inserts to the weight box on its four corners for a successful connection. Therefore, I learned here how important considering a variety of ideas provides solution to a problem. If I were to start over and do things again? I probably would have done some more background research in the areas of Fluid Dynamics or Biomechanics. I figure, if I had consulted with people in those areas, the time it took to design and redesign the overall unit as well as the weight box might not have taken about 3 years to fully complete. Miscellaneous In the back the machine was a counterweight of tube sand (60 lbs.). Without that, the whole thing would have toppled forward when trying to use it. Thank you for your time. Ten buttons for relaxation, a fantastic story with real elements, naive art

100x70cm. cardboard, mix materials The people in the button do not see anything attractive, the attention given to him is current and lasts until the buttoned some clothing item which wants to wear. With us in the World of Fantasy, fortunately, this is not the case, we give the buttons a deserved attention which they fully deserve. A man lacking a button, for example, on the shirt, we inhabitants of the World of Fantasy are avoided, because we believe it brings bad luck, such people can cast a spell on anyone. It is even more dangerous to meet a man without a button on the slit, or, God forbid, unbuttoned slit. It is certainly a dangerous man of wild impulses ready for violence against anyone in order to satisfy their needs. On the other hand, people who have a nice and tastefully selected button on their clothes are highly appreciated. Those more experienced among us will carefully look at each button on a person - the buttons should not be damaged and scratched. Of course, in the World of Fantasy, there are the Button - beings, the creatures that everyone wants in their vicinity. Those dear creatures are attracted to himself materials and crystals, who are constantly working on the relaxation of a person close to them. Even watching the picture where they are Button - beings (confirmed by scientific and empirical research!) relaxing the spirit and body, raising the level of health to the stairs more. It is for you, dear reader, to take advantage of this fact, here is your free relaxation! Those who doubt these words of Old Bone make a mistake - to yourself to the detriment!

My tribute to my good friend who died earlier this year. Another white pastel on black paper. Not my favourite media but I love the effect of it. I need to practice more as I can't get my head around working on negative lol, erasing to get shadows and filling in to get highlights etc. I used a chunky white stick and a white pastel pencil but detail still eludes me lol. It's a technique I need to refine. It's the second picture of a dead person I've put on, apart from humph, so I'm a cheery little soul aren't I lol? Thanks for looking

Nettle, a wasp princess

Once upon a time, there lived a princess. Not a vicious, bloodthirsty princess. No, Nettle was a quiet, bookish girl, and that was a problem. As anyone could tell you, a princess was not gentle. A princess was not forgiving. Above all, a princess was never..kind. — Nettle is a character from a story called Wing I've been working on quietly for a long time. You can check out this post on my new artist blog about the process of creating this comic character: https://christinewelmanblog.wordpress.com/2019/03/24/my-process-for-designing-a-comic-character/

I took over as organizer of a Ladies Wine & Design group. Recently, I attended a grand opening of a co-working space, alone. I received some “compliments” that I’m not sure were compliments. To quote Chris Griffin: “I’m so awkward!?!”

Apricot

I had an idea to create illustrations of fruit set in autumn 2017, and have been working on the realization of this idea throughout February/March 2018. In all, I have created 11 illustrations: apple, apricot, banana, cherry, grape, lemon, orange, pear, plum, tomato, watermelon. Using rapidograph to form the shape, I am coloring my works digitally in Adobe Photoshop. Here is an apricot!

HOW TO HIRE A PROFESSIONAL BITCOIN RECOVERING COMPANY-CONTACT SALVAGE ASSET RECOVERY

There’s nothing worse than being betrayed by someone you thought you could trust. I had been in the crypto game for a few years, and a friend I’d known since high school was deeply involved in my investments. We both shared access to a joint wallet, and I genuinely believed we were working together to build something meaningful for our future. Then one day, I woke up to the horrifying news that all $450,000 worth of Bitcoin in our wallet had vanished. My friend had moved it without my consent and completely ghosted me afterward. I felt a rush of emotions: fury, betrayal, and helplessness. I was lost, unsure of how to trace the funds or even where to begin my search. In my desperation, I confided in another friend about what had happened. He recommended Salvage Asset Recovery saying they specialized in cases like mine, where trust had been shattered. Initially, I was skeptical. After all, how could anyone help me recover my money when I felt so powerless? But the idea of reclaiming what was rightfully mine pushed me to reach out. From our very first interaction, Salvage Asset Recovery impressed me with their professionalism. They listened carefully as I shared my story and took down every detail of my case. They explained how they could trace the transactions and what steps they would take to locate my lost funds. For the first time since my friend’s betrayal, I felt a flicker of hope igniting in my chest. And thanks for that hope. Within days, they managed to track where my funds had gone. In a miraculous turn of events, they recovered nearly all of my Bitcoin. The relief I felt was immense, like a heavy weight lifting off my shoulders. I could finally breathe again. If you ever find yourself betrayed in the crypto world, as I did, Salvage Asset Recovery is the lifeline you need. They are more than just experts; they are dedicated professionals who understand the pain of loss and injustice. Trust me when I say they can help you navigate through the dark, providing the support and expertise needed to reclaim your financial future. their contact details Email. salvageassetrecovery@alumni.com Telegram@Salvageasset
